Vadama and sozhia iyers

i notice that vadama and sozhia iyers are sporting with

gopi chandanam on the forehead in identical fashion.


Is sozhia sect a branch of vadama like vadadesha vadama

and chozha vadama or a different sect having their own

sampradayas.


Members may please clarify.
