Part of Lloyds Road is named after V P Raman former Advocate General. One of his sons Mohan Raman is an actor. Was he from Iyer community or Iyengar? The name is prevalent in both sects.

Venkata Pattabhi Raman : The full name suggests an Iyangar
But he was a communist and later joined DMK. So obviously religion was not a major force in his life.
