At the Madras restaurant at The Raintree Hotel @ Anna Salai, Chennai I was shocked to see the eating plates that are used !!!
Those plates are embossed with typical Iyengar Person face & coasters with typical Iyer person face?
Please see the attached photo !
Imagine people eating Food especially Chicken, Mutton Beaf & Pork in this plate?
The coasters are printed with typical Iyer’s face on it!!!!
They are keeping beer glasses on top of the coasters.
What is the justification to abuse Hindu’s identities on such medium ???
Will the same Raintree Hotels dare to put a Muslim identity on the plate and serve pork on it ?
Or will they put Jesus or Sardarji face on eating plates?
There is a limit to tolerance of the Hindus and this abuse is stretching the patience to our limits.
We should take up this with Hindu Associations to file a formal complaint. Also please share widely on Social media to create awareness to make the hotel stop this unprovoked abuse of Hindu symbols & identities.

apart from pro hindu pro brahmin activists in tamil nadu [whose contact details if i know i can send to them} why not Shri Periyava of kanchi matam take up this kind of perennial abuse, hatred and antagonism towards Hindus/Brahmin community ? I think when He is incarnated to restore/nurthure Hinduism He should not keep quiet any more. Unless your protest is strong it will not work. The best way is sheer boycott of those and their organization and their products and services, if necessary even essential products and services. Also those media, papers etc which promote them can be avoided. This will be more effective.

Hinduism touches on topics that other religions consider repulsive such as "God is in the Wall as well as in Rust" which is a reflection of highly thought out philosophical concepts almost close to reality that many Upanishads and other doctrines proclaim. No other religion considers this aspect. If God is only pure why are there impurities? Why are Extremely perfect beings hard to find? Good , bad. Papa, Punya etc. While there are make shift theories and less than convincing explanations in other religions Hinduism does take a hard look at impurities and imperfections in the world and the Rishis realized that they are also Part of Brahman. There is of course a "Pure" and unblemished part - The Nirguna ParaBrahman - and then of course, the Saguna(Moola Prakriti) aspect of Brahman. The Saguna "follows" (Charya) Nirguna's direction sort of implementing its will. While doing so Impurities accumulate and hence you see the "opposites". All such errors committed are ALSO offerings to the Nirguna Parabrahman - "Kayanu vacha Manase indriyat... Prikritaet Svabhawath Karo metyat Sagalam Parasmi Narayanayeti Samarpayami" is a common error correction mantra uttered in almost all rituals. We are part of Prakriti - in Karma chakra - and hence Errors does accumulate. We will throw Agarbati boxes with images of Devas - probably to make way for newer ones. Mantras are in garbage bins. Why do you think Narayana is NOT in a Garbage bin? Then isn't it an offering? Everything has it's purpose including Pig's feces. The whole idea is to realize that and move out of the Karma chakra so you See Her( Prakriti) for who She is really. Someone has to cleanup the garbage, There is no disgrace in that. Look and Learn from that Moola Prakriti hauling all our Garbage - Dead and Alive- and still beats on doing her job- Not a shard of expectation. The truly realized ones move on and stay out of Petty inflammatory actions to kindle animosity. If Karma chakra runs correctly then Moola prakriti will also recycle her Garbage and Saturn will take note. Take that as a test to see who you really are. As in Rig veda "Winning your own Natural Self is Shaurya - true bravery". That said, there are forces at work to intentionally discredit and provoke public sentiments against Hinduism. These forces know that Hinduism is closer to Truth than any other religion. Oops, their livelihood is at stake now! So they react. First, understand that and apply our smartness and see where such actions and entities fit in! But then, we also have every right to protest and appeal if necessary. That is our constitutional right. You do help Moola Prakriti that way to clean up Garbage in actions and entities at our level !

There was money pouring in from outside countries for Conversion starting late 2000s and I know from direct ground reality that people who haven’t even seen Rs. 100 in a year were provided 5 lakh and a boat load of meat for conversion. Obviously, gullible poor people fell prey to such tricks and lo and behold in the age of 3G communication and mobile phones, news spread and right wing found lots of juicy opportunities to promote their ideologies and secure power. India is a very Sentimental country to this day. Those who control mass sentiments wins is the name of the game. People go to schools but are not educated. They read but don’t learn. All right. I haven’t been following these myriad of events. It is absolutely NOT right for innocents to be lynched. How many Tamil Iyengars and Iyers were involved in that? If they are then is that what their Brahminical upbringing taught them? If there are none, then there is manipulation going on. Why would you then print and desecrate brahminical symbols when Brahmins had absolutely nothing to do with any violence? Particularly, not knowing what they really meant! The game is expanded to include and foster Brahmin hate. What should be the response ? Peaceful protests and court case. Which is exactly what has happened so far. While Krishna said to fight Adharma he did not guarantee innocents will not be killed. There were Stalwarts and Epitomes of Dharma on the Kauravas side. They were not innocent. On the other hand there were Innocent Pandava putras who were not wise enough to discern Dharma from Adharma murdered by Adharmic Ashwattama, son of a Brahmin Guru Dhrona,who broke all rules of war. Let’s extrapolate a bit, One of the Upanishads talks about A Cat watching souls as fishes trapped in a Glass Aquarium, waiting for an opportunity to snatch all away. All souls look the same to him. So who or what tells him which soul to pick and choose? Is he educated enough to discern the complexities of fish Dharma and Adharma? Interesting isn’t it... we are inside the aquarium looking at souls lost. Which fish is going to teach the Cat, Fish Dharma and Fish Adharma? BTW, cats have their own Dharmic rules for fishing is all I could say .
That said, Siva sutras talk about how ‘light’ beings -the devas ignore and not concern themselves with beings who externally display symbols. Realized ones move beyond symbolism is their belief!
