Trip to Srisailam

I am in Chennai.
Can any of the members suggest a comfortable route by train to visit Srisailam and back?
Once I had been to Srisailam via Kurnool. The journey was not smooth.
Some suggest that via Ongole by train and then by bus, it will be smooth.

There is no airport or railway station nearby Srisailam. The only way to
travel by road from Hyderabad is very convenient. It is only 220 Kms or so.
APSRTC Buses are available and if I am correct, the fare is around Rs.100/-
only. Some people go via Markapur Road in the Guntur-Hubli Meter Gauge
Section. I am not sure, whether that route is now operative.
