thithi as against nakshatra for celebrating janma dhinam

Can somebody enlighten me about this : why do we celebrate the Janma nakshatram for humans while the thithi is considered the janmadinam for Rama, Krishna, Murugan, Vinayagar ?

Of course in Vaishnava tradition, the janma dhinam for Krishna is Rohini, and ashtami is not considered; but they also celebrate Rama Navami, not Punarpoosam. It is Skanda Sashti and likewise, Pillayar Chathurthi and not Hastha nakshatram
