#13. The right time to make demands!

Junior and Senior are in the house by themselves.
Senior sits in front of the T.V to watch a soccer game.
Junior has many doubts and many demands as well.

Junior: Dad! I have a small doubt!
Senior: Later son! I am busy now.

Junior: I need some money.
Senior: Come on! Good! Keep it up!

Junior: I want to order a pizza.
Senior: That is it ! Now! Quick!

Junior: I want a new video game.
Senior: Very good! Nice!

Junior: I won't go to school on Monday!
Senior: That is my boy! cool!

Junior: Oh boy! I never knew it was so simple!
He quietly leaves the house with money to buy all that he needs.

After the game is over, Senior looks for his son.
"Hey you wanted to ask me something, what it is?

Junior is nowhere to be seen, nor the money in his wallet.

#14. The invisible forms of exercising.

Senior: Son! I will buy you anything you want to play with.

Junior: I want the new video-games.
Senior: Playing the Video games is not real exercise.
I will buy you any ball you want to play with.

Junior: I do not want to pay with any ball.
Senior: OK then, let us go to the mall to buy some video games.

Junior: Can we go now?
Senior: yes! But first get my wallet from the bedroom.

Junior runs down and comes back with the wallet.
Senior: Now get my cell phone from the kitchen

Junior runs down to get the cell phone
Senior. Please get me shoes from the shoe rack under the stair case.

Junior runs back and forth again
Senior: My jacket is in my friend's house. Can you please get it for me?

Junior: But he lives in the fourth floor.
Senior: I know! I should not have left it there last night.

Now Senior is ready wearing his jacket and shoes and with his cell phone and wallet.
Senior: OK come on! let us go now!

Junior: I am very tired today. I cant go anywhere now!

People learn as long as they learn something new!

Maybe it works both ways - in all probability!
Maybe learning helps us to remain young!

Celebrate the Sooryap Pongal this year chanting the Adhithya hrudhayam slOkas.

A proverb a day to brighten the day!

422a. Wut und Eile behindern einen guten Rat.
422b. Anger and haste hinder good counsel.

Anger is a temporary madness.
Also, Haste makes waste.

So when Anger and Haste both combine,
they become all the more destructive.

So guard your temper always.
Never rush while doing something.

footnotes:
Wut = Anger
und = and
Eile = haste
behindern = hinder
einen = a
guten = good
Rat = counsel

My father, a doctor, always used to tell us an incident about one of his professors.
His famous words were," Now gentlemen DO NOT hurry, since we have NO TIME to waste"
The sentence sounds strange since 'if we have no time to waste' surely we must hurry up!

Not really!

When we hurry up we also mess up the thing we are doing and
WE MAY have to start from the beginning all over again...
thereby wasting more time instead of saving more time!

26. Built-in-goggles

Sea birds such as gulls, Skuas and terns have built-in-goggles.
The retina of these birds contain a minute droplet of a reddish oil.
It has the same effect as a red translucent plastic sheet held in front of the eyes.
The red drop absorbs the blue glare from the sea and the sky before the light reaches the retina.
Nature’s free gift of red-tinted, built-in-goggles for these lucky birds!
