Shri Shirdisai,

What is it that you actually want to convey? Not clear to me at all.

Our forefathers chanted Gaayatree three times every day and possibly 108 times in each sitting, but what happened? Almost all the brahmin youngsters have gone to mleccha countries like USA, UK, the European countries, Japan, Australia etc., and are serving the mlechha masters there. Gaayatree does not seem to have helped these youngsters at all, imho.

What is enclosed talks about Bala Atibala Mantra. It says it is another aspect of Gayatri.

Shri Sangom,

With all due respect, your post here adds zero value.

A member here posted has posted an information which he "thinks" are benefits of chanting the "Gayathri". If you do not agree --

a. Provide a logical rebuttal (or)
b. Ignore the information and keep out of the thread

Who gave you the authority to speak on behalf of the entire Brahmin youngsters?

Regards

I don't think Rama and Lakshmana could use these mantras in their later life as there is no such mention in Vaalmeeki Ramayana. So it appears as though these two mantras have some expiry date and "use before" type of power. Can anyone enlighten?

Secondly how is Gaayatree connected to these two mantras?

I like that we are questioning the real reason for chanting any mantra.
Mantra's may help us concentrate and help us control our mind. I do not believe that mantras can control external environment. Prayers in any religion can take us only so far. If we do not perform at our best, we only have ourselves to blame. If we succeed in our mission it is because our positive action and by our kermas or fate.
Let us concentrate on our actions, and take some personal responsibility for our actions.
