Shame on Trump! With this tape I was expecting him to withdraw! Last nail in the coffin! He has been eccentric before but this is the last straw!!

Donald Trump defiant as groping tape drives growing Republican calls to quit

Donald Trump on Saturday defied growing calls from leading Republicans to withdraw from the presidential race in favour of his running mate, a day after a decade-old recording revealed him bragging in explicit terms about using his fame to grope and take advantage of women.

This is the point of no return for Donald Trump

Trump issued a rare apology for the remarks on Friday and on Saturday was reported to be in crisis talks with close advisers in New York City. But in a call to the Washington Post he said: “I’d never withdraw. I’ve never withdrawn in my life. No, I’m not quitting this race. I have tremendous support.”
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, he said: “There is zero chance I’ll quit.” To the New York Times, he said his “tremendous support” meant he would win the presidency.
Shortly after CNN reported that in 2006 Trump told the radio host Howard Stern it was OK to call his daughter Ivanka “a piece of ass”, Trump tweeted: “The media and establishment want me out of the race so badly” and added in capitals: “I will never drop out of the race, will never let my supporters down.”
Against this backdrop, with just one month until election day and one day until the second presidential debate, a growing chorus of senior Republicans – if not party leadership – called for Trump to let his running mate take over.

Multiple sources told the Guardian there was a meeting at Republican National Committee headquarters on Friday night, to discuss possible ways to remove Trump from the ticket. The meeting ended with no clear resolution.
The businessman’s own vice-presidential pick, Mike Pence, decried “the words and actions described by Donald Trump” in the video.
“I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them. I am grateful that he has expressed remorse,” he added, before alluding to Sunday night’s presidential debate. “We pray for his family and look forward to the opportunity he has to show what is in his heart when he goes before the nation tomorrow night.”
Melania Trump, the candidate’s wife, issued a statement in which she said her husband’s words were “unacceptable and offensive” but added that “this does not represent the man that I know” and said Trump had “the heart and mind of a leader”.
Senator John Thune, the third-ranking Republican in the Senate, led calls for Trump’s withdrawal, writing: “Donald Trump should withdraw and Mike Pence should be our nominee effective immediately.”
John McCain, the Arizona senator and 2008 nominee, on Saturday afternoon rescinded his support for Trump. “I have wanted to support the candidate our party nominated. He was not my choice, but as a past nominee, I thought it important I respect the fact that Donald Trump won a majority of the delegates by the rules our party set,” he said.
The growing list of Republicans abandoning Donald Trump

“But Donald Trump’s behavior this week, concluding with the disclosure of his demeaning comments about women and his boasts of sexual assaults, make it impossible to offer even conditional support for his candidacy.”
Kelly Ayotte, a senator in New Hampshire locked in a tough re-election battle, said in a statement that as “a mom and an American” she “cannot and will not support a candidate for president who brags about degrading and assaulting women”. She would, she said, write Pence’s name on the ballot. Senators Ben Sasse, Mike Crapo, Lisa Murkowski, Dan Sullivan and Cory Gardner also rescinded support or called for Trump to step aside.
This did not deter Trump, who told the Post keeping the party behind him was easier because Hillary Clinton was “so flawed as a candidate. Running against her, I can’t say it’d be the same if I ran against someone else, but running against her makes it a lot easier, that’s for sure.”
“People are calling and saying, ‘Don’t even think about doing anything else but running,’” he added. “You have to see what’s going on. The real story is that people have no idea the support. I don’t know how that’s going to boil down but people have no idea the support.”
In Utah, senior Republicans explicitly abandoned the candidate. Governor Gary Herbert and Jason Chaffetz, chair of the House committee investigating Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state, withdrew their support. Senator Mike Lee, representative Chris Stewart and former governor Jon Huntsman called on Trump to step aside and let Pence lead the ticket.
Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee who has never backed Trump, said: “Hitting on married women? Condoning assault? Such vile degradations demean our wives and daughters and corrupt America’s face to the world.”
A senior campaign official told the Guardian the independent conservative candidate Evan McMullin was in the state on Saturday, meeting his team as well as with a number of senior elected officials.
The 2005 hot-mic recording, which was obtained by the Washington Post, showed Trump speaking to Billy Bush, a cousin of George and Jeb Bush who was then host of Access Hollywood, as they prepared to meet a star of a soap opera in which Trump was to film a cameo.

In the tape, Trump, then newly married to Melania, his third wife, reminisces about making a pass at a married woman, saying: “I moved on her and I failed, I’ll admit it … I did try and fuck her. She was married.”
He then describes his efforts at seduction:“I am automatically attracted to beautiful women. I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss, I don’t even wait … and when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”
“Grab them by the pussy,” he says. “You can do anything.”

Tump initially dismissed the remarks as “locker room banter” and said: “Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course – not even close.” Late on Friday night, however, his campaign posted a 90-second videotaped apology on Facebook, and again mentioned Clinton’s extramarital affairs. “I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not,” Trump said. “Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize.”
Saturday was meant to be a major turning point for the Republican party, with Trump due to appear at a campaign event for the first time with the House speaker, Paul Ryan, in the congressman’s home state, Wisconsin.
Instead, Ryan said the remarks had “sickened” him and a source confirmed to the Guardian that Trump had been explicitly disinvited to what had been billed as a “Republican unity event”. Trump said in a statement that Pence would appear in his place, but on Saturday Pence also withdrew from the event.
At the event, in Walworth County, Ryan said: “Let me start out by saying, there is a bit of an elephant in the room.” He then proceeded to ignore the elephant.
“It is a troubling situation, I’m serious, it is,” the Speaker said, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd. “I put out a statement about this last night. I meant what I said and it’s still how I feel. But that is not what we are here to talk about today.”
Trump remained in New York, ostensibly to prepare for the debate at Washington University in St Louis on Sunday night. The Republican National Committee chair, Reince Priebus, was reported with him. Priebus said on Friday: “No woman should ever be described in these terms or talked about in this manner. Ever.”
Statements of censure from senior Republicans stopped short of outright retreat. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell and senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, a pair who faced Trump in the primary, condemned his remarks but did not rescind their endorsements.

Speaker Paul Ryan cancels joint Wisconsin campaign appearance after remarks from 2005 prompt widespread condemnation of presidential nominee

Trump has proved remarkably resilient in the face of controversies that include sustaining a nearly $1bn loss that may have enabled him to not pay federal income tax for 18 years; insulting the parents of a Muslim US soldier who died in Iraq; imitating a disabled reporter; mocking McCain for being captured in Vietnam; and proposing a ban on Muslims entering the US.

Hillary Clinton seized on Trump’s comments on Friday, saying on Twitter: “This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president.”
Staffers within the Trump campaign have expressed deep dismay about the effect the tape will have on the businessman’s already narrow path to the White House, sources told the Guardian. Publicly, however, Trump surrogates attempted to minimize fallout by raising conspiratorial questions about the timing of the release – on the same day WikiLeaks released what appeared to be transcripts of Clinton’s paid speeches.
There were some supportive voices outside Trump Tower on Saturday. Emily Roberts, visiting from San Antonio, said: “As a woman, yes, it’s offensive, but [the remarks] were behind closed doors. I think Trump can say anything he wants. It’s not going to change the minds of voters. It is what it is.”
Her husband, Chris Roberts, agreed: “It’s just regular locker room talk. That’s perfectly fine.”

End of the road for Trump!

The tape is a personal conversation between Trump and his male friend...I don't get it why such a big deal is made out of it.

When friends talk sometimes choice of words would be very different and extreme language too would be used.

Even when we girls talk about guys or even girls etc..we sometimes use unpolite words to describe some stuff ..its not as if we do not respect man or woman but its just sometimes for fun or even anger or to make a point the choice of words change. For example its very common among females to even call fellow females as "Bloody Bit**" or describe a male as having his brains in his B**ls.

So I wonder why such a big deal about this case where Trump used the P***y word to describe a female.

I personally feel Trump need not even need to apologize cos its a personal conversation and was not meant to be public.

In fact the public should apologize to Trump for invasion of his privacy.

In private, choice of words or thoughts are purely personal in nature.

Some in India may think that Trump as a President may be better for India because Republican administrations in the past has had better policies towards India and Trump talks tough towards Muslims.

Trump is a loose cannon and has no respect for anyone else. He does not represent any Republican administration and is a champion of alt-right which has an extreme ideology of hate towards others. He is also a loose cannon and cannot be trusted with his words. In fact most of Hillary's ardent supporters working on the campaign directly are both people that knew her for decades and those that have done business with Trump.

The issue with the tape that surfaced has nothing to do with profanity involved in the exchange. It is about using power and stardom to sexually assault women. I have been in many locker rooms and no one talks about doing anything against a woman's will and brag about it. This is not the only tape that surfaced but there are more such tapes that show a view into a Trump's character. This is not about sex or sex talk but about how he treats women asserting his power. These comments in this tape were made when he was close to 60 and this is a 70 year old person. Trump cannot change at this age of 70 to a new and improved Trump.

The main reason many in Trump's party are deserting him now is because for the first time white women are offended in large numbers about this power display evidenced in that tape. No party can win without white women's vote in large numbers

Trump represents one extreme. He prefers to use force and power to the extreme. I have always thought Americans are representative of that. To see that Trump shocks even his own people shows he is at the very end of the spectrum. There are advantages and disadvantages. The state of the world is also an important factor to decide whether Trump is the right choice.

If you want Trump to be president/Prime Minister of Malaysia, then please by all means take him, sell your country to him and glorify him a on pedestal and put a garland and and offer incense and camphor to him!

i like some parts TRUMP AND some parts HILLARY TOO....

There is disgruntled American and FOX (Entertainment) news follower, who try to equate Clinton with Trump. That is sad.
A minnow and shark both are fish and live in oceans, but they are not same. Trump has repeatedly shown that he is not fit even to hold a janitorial job (he might grab some women by XXXXX).
Hillary has been in public service for her entire life. She is intelligent, and understands world politics. She is a good friend of India.
Trump is a loudmouth school yard bully, who has cheated small businessmen who worked for him.

TBSji,
What part of TRUMP you like other than his small hand. LOL

That is a lie, clever spinning.
Is Donald Trump really the super-awesome business executive armed with the leadership, management and talent-spotting skills up the wazoo that he so often claims? Or is he someone who overlooks intelligence, thoughtfulness, leadership skills, guts, commitment to principle, capacity to work with others, knowledge of markets, policy and laws, and relevant job experience in potential hires and who, as you might expect of such a person, is actually a much more mediocre businessman than he lets on?

Trump has a track record of piling up his businesses with unsustainable debt, and then having them file for bankruptcy. Per CNN Money, “no major US company has filed for Chapter 11 more than Trump’s casino empire in the last 30 years.” Under Trump’s leadership, just a few years ago, his company missed a $53.1 million bond interest payment—kind of a big deal. And lest Trump try to delude anyone into thinking that these bankruptcies were all just clever corporate maneuverings with no effects for him personally, note that to pay off creditors, he has had to offload huge shareholdings, yachts, and airlines.

Trump has not only taken on excessive debt, with bankruptcies to show for it. He has (mis-)managed his company in such a way that he would have been better off, financially, simply investing his inheritance from his father in an S&P 500 fund than, well, operating the Trump Organization. According to SV Date writing in National Journal:
Had the celebrity businessman and Republican presidential candidate invested his eventual share of his father’s real-estate company into a mutual fund of S&P 500 stocks in 1974, it would be worth nearly $3 billion today, thanks to the market’s performance over the past four decades. If he’d invested the $200 million that Forbes magazine determined he was worth in 1982 into that index fund, it would have grown to more than $8 billion today.
Even the smaller figure exceeds the lower range of his possible net worth as reported to the Federal Election Commission, while the larger number exceeds by billions recent estimates of Trump’s worth by financial publications. And it would have come without the high-drama, roller-coaster career that has included four corporate bankruptcies.
This begs a separate set of questions. How well would Trump “invest” taxpayers’ money? Would he spend it on truly essential, meaningful things or waste it the way typical politicians do—only by virtue of bad instinct and dubious principles, as opposed to a desire to keep campaign contributors and big, special interests happy?

Another interesting question: Would the supposed staunch opponent of outsourcing who has his swag manufactured in Africa, apparently unaware that American businesses could do it for very, very cheap, prove capable of hiring people who would identify best value in services for which the federal government contracts? Does he understand the imperatives driving American businesses—perhaps not his, which may or may not have decided to outsource for financial reasons—to move or keep jobs, operations, and capital overseas?
A final point to contemplate: It’s also not clear that Trump’s hotel empire is quite as amazing as he wants to make out. Over the last several years, he’s had two or three hotels—no more— ranked among the top 150 or so in the US, according to US News and World Report. For what it’s worth, the St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons see a lot more hotels make the list. Trump might be capable of making Americans feel successful and as though we’re really competing with and beating China, India, Europe and others. But as with his own claims of success, would that feeling reflect reality, or just amount to another four-year delusion?

The New York Times on Saturday published three pages of what it claimed were three of Trump's 1995 state tax returns, which showed he reported a $916 million loss that year.
Separately, 1995 was also when Trump sold stock to public investors for the first time, opening up a detailed public paper trail of Trump's business dealings.
CNNMoney in August published an analysis of 10 years of Trump corporate documents. The investigation showed that Trump's company, Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, lost money every year from 1995 until it went bankrupt in 2004 -- more than $600 million in total losses.
The company traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol DJT. An investor who put $100 in DJT in 1995 would have lost 90% of that money by 2000, and been left with just $8.72.
Along the way, DJT paid Trump $39 million in salary, bonuses, options and other compensation.

Paul Ryan, the top Republican in the U.S. Congress, said on Monday he would not defend Donald Trump nor campaign with him, plunging the Republican candidate's presidential bid deeper into crisis over his sexually aggressive remarks about women. Ryan, speaker of the House of Representatives, also signaled he was preparing for Democrat Hillary Clinton to win the White House in the Nov. 8 presidential and congressional election.

Whooaa....Ray? Why so emotional?LOL

BTW I admire Trump...point blank son of gun..devil may care attitude...does not care to be politically correct.

I feel this is a type of leader I would admire...most leaders try to just act Mr Nice Guy and make people think they are super perfect ...Here is a person who is not afraid to show his dark side and use it to his maximum.

BTW only now we get to read that Mahtama Gandhi had racists views about Africans and thought that since Indians and British are from same Indo Aryan racial stock ..Indians should not grouped together as coloreds along with the Africans..so isnt that some form of deceptive dark side of Gandhi too?

BTW if Trump wins and becomes YOUR president..its you who have to garland and offer incense and camphor to him and sing arti for all I know!LOL

In my country it would be considered Syirik to worship anyone besides God.

Yes me and my wife have been against him from day one of his candidacy. This last bit completely made us vomit with revulsion.
As for Gandhi may his soul RIP. Why bring that old character back to life. He had some flaws but he did good for the country and got freedom. His job is done and he is gone.
Trump is real and a "Clear and Present Danger".
If you love this SOB then please by all means let him migrate to Malaysia or any other democracy that needs him and show you all how to fleece your own Govt. He can build a Trump Tower next to your famous twin towers.
Some people is USA describe his Trump tower in NY is a replica of his little brother "Dick".
I don't approve of Hillary 100% but I definitely reject Donald 100%

So far I like Bill Clinton and Obama.

I loved how Clinton was sharp in getting out his scandal by escaping on technical grounds..thats show capability for finer thinking.

Obama I simply love him cos he looks very handsome and has a charm almost like a celebrity..people go crazy when they meet him and everyone wants to talk to him.

About 4 women have come forward that claim they were groped and touched very inappropriately ..

Trump has figured out how to stoke and groom hatred in a human heart.

The Brexit vote for Britain to leave the European Union was one such vote that played to the hatred and confusion of uneducated Brits. The exit is against their interests and after it passed they were all google searching with Phrases such as 'what is Brexit

Even outside USA Trump's brand has appeal to either because they are uninformed or they have true hatred towards some group. He gives voice to the hatred regardless of what the object of hate is.

I was reading the above link which I reproduce here for your convenience.
Just let me know how shockingly close it ties with Donald Trump's behavior to a T.

Simple lies. I had x for breakfast, when you know full well they did not have that.

Triangulation. They'll let you in on their feelings, or gossip, about another person. This partially makes you feel special, like they are confiding in you if you are not aware of this tactic.

Stories to show their power. Anything from how they humiliated an incompetent waitress to how they yelled at an old man, or scared the crap out of the neighbor kid.

Sense of entitlement. They believe they should get the best service anywhere. They think they are the center of the universe and everyone else should recognize that and prostrate themselves to them.

Superficial charm, but this can be deceiving. Someone raised by a psychopath can exhibit this characteristic. Some extroverts can be very charming.

Need for adoration. They, like narcissists, are hollow. They cannot live without your attention, affection or adoration. Deny them that and it's crazy making.

No long term friends. Psychopaths cycle through people like most of us change our undies. They are incapable of forming reciprocal, long term relationships. They probably have no contact with their family either.

Pity party. They often will tell you how someone else has wronged them so horribly. Once they have your pity, they have you wrapped around their finger.
