Battery life is one of the qualms that many smartwatch owners face, and that’s because it is hard to fit a large battery in these devices, and so the focus is on maximizing battery efficiency.
Even a small increase in battery capacity would be welcome, because the battery life of these devices is abysmal, and gets better only with sacrifices.
Rumor has it that Apple will be going with a OGS display for the Apple Watch, the same type of displays used in most smartphones nowadays. OGS means one glass solution, and it means the display and the touch-sensors are on the same layer. This results in a thinner display, and so more space for other components.
Since it is not practical to be reducing the thickness of the Apple Watch, Apple will probably increase the battery capacity of the Apple Watch.
What do you think?
