India carried out 24 precision cruise missile strikes at nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) today in response to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam last month, which killed 26 tourists. The terrorists had cross-border linkages.

The targets that were hit today included Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bahawalpur, Rawalakot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, and Chakwal. All these locations were identified as hubs of terrorist activity.

India launched standoff cruise missiles at camps affiliated with the terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (LeT).

The Indian armed forces early Wednesday carried out 24 precision missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), including Muridke and Bahawalpur - strongholds of terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), respectively.

More than 70 terrorists were killed and over 60 wounded in the strikes, sources said, as India significantly degraded the operational capability of these outfits. JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar claimed that 10 members of his family and four of his aides were killed in the strikes.

The attacks, which were carried out at around 1 am, were in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir's Anantnag district that claimed 26 lives - 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen - on April 22. In a statement, the Ministry of Defence confirmed targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK "from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed".

India's strikes came hours before a planned security drill across the country for "effective civil defence in the event of a hostile attack", across 244 districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had vowed to pursue the perpetrators of the attack and those who took part in its conspiracy to the "ends of the earth" to inflict punishment on them "beyond their imagination".

We have killed more than 150 terrorists, bombed 11 air bases. Pakistan can claim morale victory but had it not been for US intervention things could have been very very ugly for them. The pagers from Israel that hammered the Hamas were to be deployed next! This alone would have caused mayhem there!

We were advancing rapidly and far ahead than the Pakis in capacity & capability! Our Brahmos struck at multiple locations and obliterated their airbases!

We clearly had the upper hand. The bottom line is that our missile (ground) targeting technology is highly accurate. Maybe on par with USA and Israel, the only other countries who have demonstrated it. We do not know what China can do as they never fight wars. We showed we can surgically hit Pakistan exactly where we want to and that they have zero defense against it!

It is indeed a moment of celebration for the nationalist Indians! We should fight more wars with our enemies to show our might to the world!

As per my US contact, That is a must read because NYT has given a clear picture of exactly what happened after we hit Rawalpindi Noor Khan airbase that sent Pakistan scrambling, as their long-held fear of India taking out their nuke control capabilities finally materialized! We hit hard at that air base and their command decision center (my wording) is not far from there.

JD Vance had called Modiji by 9:30 pm FRI in India to convey "alarming intelligence" (which was clearly on Pak's nuke control authority setting a meeting). Modiji heard him out but did not commit to any "off-ramp" suggestion. Instead we hit the Nur Khan base within 3 hours, scaring the crap out of Pakistan and forcing them to start their final operations into India (while Vance and Rubio spent the next several hours on getting India and Pak to set up contacts for a ceasefire agreement).
