I am a native of Nagercoil in Kanyakumari Dist Tamil Nadu. Probably my roots (ancessters) are from Thirunelveli dist because our Kuladeivam is in Kalidaikuruchi( swami Sadaiudayar).
In our Fmly there is a custom of conducting Sumangali Prarthanai every year with Poovoda Panai,which is a vessel with chit adai, manjal, kumkumam, vetrilai pakku, pushpam etc carried from the last years
functions. It is being carried on for generations thro' the son( preferably elder one) who has male issues.
As such we have moved out of native due to survival constraints and still carrying on with it. However we are sceptical about our furture generations carrying on with it due many further complicated
issues involved with it and due to their occupation, interests etc etc.
We would like to make santhi of this Poovoda panai. Would like to know from any one having this custom ( may be people from areas like Thirunelveli, Nagercoil etc), on how to do the santhi of this so that,
it does not harm us and the furture geneations
Can any body highlight the procedure please.
