My name is Venkatraman and I currently reside in Bangalore. I am a bharadwajam gothram, Iyer hailing from Palakkad. Me and my wife have been blessed with twin boys on 13th March 2012. This year their birthday falls on 4th March 2013 as per our star predictions. However my mother's health deteriorated from 19th January 2013 and has always been hospitalised and under going continual tests. The doctors are yet to bring her blood sugar under control. In light of my mother's poor health I am not sure if I would be able to perform the 1st birthday of my son's on the above date. I have also to tonsure the head of both my son's, which is also not done. Is there any option that I can have the birthday held on another date when my mother is back in a better health. Would celebrating on such a date be considered against religion or practice ? Appreciate if someone can give me the correct advice.
