Sriman nArAyaNa is a composition of Annamacharya. Though this composition is sung primarily for bhakti, Annamacharya embeds great jnana in it. He praises nArAyaNa as one who gives a share (of his residence, the vaikuntha) to parama yogis. Who is a parama Yogi..? One who realizes "nArAyaNa as the parama-Atma becomes the minutest of the atoms and it is from him the Universe appears". To point out this sharing, Annamacharya praises nArAyaNa as 'Lakshmi's dear', as Lakshmi has a share in vaikuntha. He extols the deva in thiruvengada giri as nArAyaNa.
