Android is an open operating system for the most part. It allows users, carriers and companies to modify their devices, and this is why, somehow every few devices are different and we have a huge fragmented market.

Google recognized this and thought that something had to be done, which is why it unveiled the Nexus line of devices that came with the best of hardware and ran stock Android, i.e Android at its purest.

Now Google is doing something unique with the Nexus Line of devices. To let all companies profit from this endeavor, Google chooses a different manufacturing partner every year. Previous partners include Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc. This helps keep the market on a level playing field and offers users a recluse from fragmentation, crapware and any other annoyances.

It seems this time, Google’s partner would be Huawei, and Jiutang Pan, the research head at the Shenzhen Huaqiang Electronics Research Institute has leaked some details on China’s Twitter, aka Sina Weibo.
It seems the Huawei Nexus will have a 5.7 inch Quad-HD Screen and a Snapdragon 810 Processor. While we do not know anything further than that, already the Huawei Nexus is looking to be a great device.

We think it will be announced in June, at Google’s annual developers conference.

What do you think? Does the Huawei Nexus look appealing to you?
