Can forum suggest whether shradam can be performed on shunya thithi or not.The thithi comes twice in the month. First is shunya and the second is normal and reasons thereof.

The very reason it is called Shunya tithi is because it is not suitable for shrAddam.
There are couple of exceptions. If the second tithi in the same month has dosham of any kind, then the shUnya tithi is when shrAddam must be performed. The most common dosham is the scond tithi coinciding with sanragamanam, start of the next month. Grahanam is another example.
If both the first and the second tithi have dosham, then the second tithi is suitable for shrAddam.
Hope this helps. This is what SVs follow and I think in this case the Smarta sampradayam is not different. Sangom sir may confirm.
