Thanks Prasad ji.

Very useful post.

My sambandi broke his hip bone missing a step while climbing down stairs recently

Most common accident

Many senior citizens slip in bath rooms .

They should learn to leave the bath room door unlocked from inside and stand close to wall while changing .

i checked in google for senior citizen day for the year 2020 and it pops
Friday
21 August
World Senior Citizen's Day 2020

any way, your address for senior citizens is useful.. would have been more appropriate if you add an advise to Juniors not to let the seniors alone at all times and to have an eye on them. thanks

Senior citizens at least in india have nothing to regret.

I do not like these lamenting and asking for more.

They put pressure on their children and expect them to support them financially for raising them .

In india the huge subsidies in power, water ,lower rents cheaper food, concessions in travel [free metro for

women in delhi], servants to wash ,cook for nominal amounts , senior citizen friendly people make a good

package.

They are respected more by youngsters , many of whom still bend and touch their feet for blessings.

It is fairly safe for them on roads as most know they are not worth robbing. Most senior men carry little cash

and women wear imitation gold chains not worth snatching.

There are always people who stop and ask if you are OK in case you stop on roads to catch your breath.

Most neighbours keep a watch on you and care little for your privacy.

So senior citizens are far more safe in india.
