oh!! is it? sorry. error owing to the dependence on fwds
This Imam is very famous and is an Australian citizen ....He is Shia of Iranian descend so he tends to hit out at Sunnis...If Pakistan was a Shia majority I think he would have been singing a different tune!

There may be conflict between Shias and Sunnis but will an average Shia muslim support hindu pagans over Sunni muslim? After all, muslims are known for strong unity among themselves. That is atleast the existing world view.

So just because one may find this imam's opinion unpalatable, is it correct to dismiss his opinion like that?

Lets take a few scenarios...in this world no one supports anyone without a reason..everyone needs a common "enemy" to unite.

Scenario 1.."Hindutva"'s common enemy is Islam..thats why all get violent and temporary unite and go lynching friendly
Now..just say the common enemy is handled and does not exist anymore..what happens next?

If another common enemy is found than unity is still there..but the day a common enemy can NOT be found then everyone would start fighting with each other based on their differences.

Scenario 2 Now let's come to the Islamic scenario.
"Jihadi"s common enemy is the "concealer"(the actual meaning of the word Kafir)
So they are trigger friendly.
What happens when there is no more a "concealer"
Then they start to fight with each other and each sect would kill each other.

Now..scenario 3) Remember the story of Pandavas and Kauravas who temporarily unite to fight a common enemy?

Ok to test this..try going in front both a Shia and Sunni or any other sect and tell them something negative about their religion and you would watch them unite right away and suddenly you might be totally in an atmic form cos your physical body had ended its existence becos they have a common uniting factor which they use as a war cry.

Scenario 4 ...Just say someone who is not a common enemy suddenly says something bad about Hinduism in front of many Hindus...no one would react badly cos each would say "Oh..he didnt insult my caste..he didn't insult my deva..he only insulted another's caste and deva" and also the Hindu war cry depends on the Deva they worship so not much hope for unity.

Scenario 5.. You yourself are in support of what the Imam said becos its music to your ears..if he had said something else which you didnt want to hear your reaction would have been different.

Summary: At the end of the day..if we like what we hear we agree with it at the same time one can look at any opinion from both sides.

Reminder :Most of the outspoken controversial non traditionalist Imams are safely sitting in some western country or Australia..they wont speak out their mind in their own country.

BTW I feel at times we view our polar opposites harshly.
Imagine a country that only has a ruling government but no opposition?
Surely there would be chaos becos with no dampening effect power could reach to anyone's head.

I guess thats why in existence there is both positive and negative or even "good" and "bad".
Even the Arishad Varga of human...Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha,Mada and Matsarya ..they are there for a reason..that is to be used to create a stop check mechanism in us.

Without the existence of "bad", "good" wont have any value.
Bad can be a good teacher too!

This is not only a slap on Pakistan's face. This is slap on the face of so-called liberals and seculars who claimed to be pained when the "minorities sensibilities" are offended. It is far easier to indulge in Modi bashing. No dearth of hypocrites at all. The Prime Minister has shown great courage whether it be demonetization or the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. The overwhelming support of the minorities in UP in the recently concluded General Elections is evident of the fact that they want the present Government to continue. Pakistan is a banana Republic and while Donald Trump has the habit of putting his foot in the mouth, it is unlikely that he will precipitate action which may run the risk of condemnation by the international community.
