No doubt, the Congress has been more interested in the last 66 years to project the Nehru dynasty starting from Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and so on

Sardar Patel has definitely played a stellar role in the integration of the Princely colonial states into the Indian nation as Home Minister and Deputy P.M

Is Patel the tallest leader of the country?
 
i think it was khan abdul gaffer khan of pre independence india. he was about 7 feet tall.

acharya kripalani was about 6 feet 10 inches.

compared to them patel was just 5ft 6 ins or such. nehru not much taller :)
