I can tell what I do as a tradition handed over by my forefathars.

1) After Sandyavandanam, Tharpanam for new month.
2) Around 11.00 AM after fresh bath Aditya hridayam pooja after purvanga pooja.
3) Ponga paane timing 10:30 AM
Naivedyam - Sakkere pongal, sugar cane, vada and elle orundai.
Om Suryadevathai Namah!
