Namaskaram,I am Kalpana Shanmugasundaram(basically from Madurai,now in Bangalore) I need details for my elder sister in law (two )sons together sacred thread ceremony.My husband need to do Mama seer and my in laws maternal grandparents need to thatha seer.As they couldn’t shop I’m currently responsible to shop all things for upanayanam.I have a list if I missed out anything please feel free to correct me if I missed anything

Cotton dhoti angavasthram 2 yards are for upanayanam boys parents

are for upanayanam boys parents already in the list
One more doubt not sure which is mama seer and thatha seer to distinguish for sister in laws relatives.Could you please help me that also?

Dear Madam, When Grand Parants are alive, there is no separate MAMA Seer and THATHA Seer.

There is no separate thatha seer and mama seer. only one seer . gold poonal;2; silver poonal;2; silver pancha paathira utirini;2; silver plate2; , 2 yards pattu veshti 2; which will be used for brahmopadesham. 9x5 veshti-1; 9 yards saree with blouse-1, flowers, garland-2; fruits, chandan, kumkumam; paruppu thengai-1 set; ;kai murukku 7

sutru-31; laddu-31; athirasam-31. brass bowl-1; coconut-1; betel and betel nuts; kalkandu is enough.

no threaty pal for poonal; only for marriage threaty pal must be there. This is the minimum requirement. If you are very rich you can add as per your financial status.
