The story depicts the true life of Kinners or eunuchs, as they are commonly known. It portrays them as sensitive, caring human beings and tries to remove the social stigma attached to them.
Children of the sexless God When we were in Calcutta, after a few days of the birth of our Daughter , a group of eunuchs came to our home to bless the Child; This is their custom and somehow they get the information from the Clinic/ Hospital , all the details about the new born baby’s parents ‘s address.
This was a new experience for us, but our neighbor assured us that there is nothing to worry about, and their blessing is good for the baby.
Here is an article which I would like to share with you.
Children of a sexless God
In spite of having all odds against them, the eunuchs are slowly enhancing their place in society. Although mainly at grass-roots levels, they have already made their entry into politics, one of the most crucial fields which change the face of a nation. The activists are fighting for the right of every eunuch to have access to education, health care and be allowed to hold regular jobs.
In South India these people are faceless, shunted by everyone.
Please show some kindness towards them and remember these people are also the Children of the same God whom we all worship.
