Recitation of Lalitha Sahasranamam

THis stuthi can be recited by man, woman, child at any time anywhere - there is absolutely NO restrictions on chanting - please understand restrictions were imposed so that there was discipline [ of some sort atleast ] while religious practices were followed - mainly because of human nature being what it is we will relax norms to suit our laziness and degradation will set in ! The restrictions for maintaining purity - like after a bath, etc. naturally apply - this too, in case of the old / infirm can be waived if one is so keen on chanting. Learning from a Guru, again, is more so when everything was transmitted orally and there were no recordings or the printed word !

Thank you for the reply.

I would like to know whether there is any restriction on who should or should not recite Lalitha Sahasranamam. Can any man or woman recite. Is t necessary to learn under a Guru ?
There is no restrictions at all. But to get correct recitation by knowing the names of Devi it is necessary to hear it by keeping and observing the book with you.
There are CDs available so also YouTube has many published by Bombay sisters and others.
So also from your local temple you will come to know there is a group chanting Lalitha Sahastranamam. You can join them by which you will get correct recitation.
Hari Om!
