this rendition has its own flavour
I don't know much of Raga perfections. But knowing Dr Kuldeep Pai, her mentor , he would have taken utmost care in delivery of this. No doubt between MS 's version and this I found Soorya Gayathri's pitch is a little high and powerful. But MS voice reflects her realisation, maturity and composure.
Gayathrsis one of enthusiastic learner.
And the difference is of newer instruments, fusion vs old pristine renditions with original instruments.
MS, still the Goddess and both She and Dikshithar only will bless young children like Gayathri..
