The film is expected to create new benchmarks for its grandeur in every possible aspect. It is said to be made on a huge budget of over Rs 350 crore, even surpassing Baahubali, the costliest Indian movie made till date. Following the Robot legacy, 2.0 has Rajinikanth playing the lead role and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the villain. The first look launch of both the stars will take place in Mumbai and the filmmakers have already invested Rs 6 crore just for this extravaganza. Before we tune into the show, here are some of the reasons why the first look launch is something that cannot be missed today.
Rajinikanth’s speech:
No matter how his voice is on screen, how powerful his dubs are in different languages, we can’t miss Thalaivaar’s speech just to reassure that this man is real. Rajini is equally good in his deep voice be it Tamil, Telugu, Hindi or English. he has never hesitated to stop expressing his feelings in as modest way as possible about anyone. If you can recall his speech from Robot first part audio launch, the actor praised Big B, saying that the Bollywood actor was his inspiration and guru and he always consults him before taking up any big project. Not to forget the anecdote about his bald-head and about him pairing up with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in that movie.

Dr Richards:
Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar is making a Tamil debut sharing the screen with the superstar in 2.0. In fact, he is playing a baddie and a crazy scientist who turns into a crow after his experiment fails. His look which even got leaked on social media is sure to give you chills. Reports say that the writer of the film 2.0, Jeyamohan, has sketched Akshay’s character at par with Nolan’s Batman villains Joker and Bane. While both the Hollywood characters matched their action with the looks, we have to wait and watch what Akshay aka Dr Richards has in the closet for us. In fact, the film’s poster also has Akshay Kumar instead of Rajini.
