Namaste members,
I am a new member here. I am wondering about the Maavilakku date for Sri Venkatesa this year. As seen in Calendar, 17th September Purattasi begins, but this 1st Saturday on 21st, we are not eligible to put Maavilakku for Bhagwan as it will be Mahalaya paksham. Then again, when Mahalaya paksham ends, immediately Navaratri begins on 4th October and since it will be Brahmotsavam time for Sri Venkatesa in 7-Hills, we won't put Maavilakku during that time also! Then entire Purattasi ends. Has any member given thought to this? Are you planning on putting maavilakku for bhagwan any of the dates? I also asked this question at SriRangaSri Yahoo group and one member answered that they are planning to put Maavilakku on 21st despite Mahalaya paksham because HH Sri Andavan Swamigal had clarified them on the issue. Anybody agree to this or have different thoughts?
