Procedure of doing Panchayatana pooja

I want to know the procedure of doing Panchayatana pooja in home. Also how to place each god. What direction I have to sit and what direction God is to be placed. Guide me

The idols are to be placed facing the East; the person doing the pooja faces North.

āditya, ambikā, viṣṇu, gaṇapati, śiva are the five idols for the Panchaayathana pooja; all of them have to be kept facing the East. The order of placing these inter se varies from family to family and usually the Ishta devathaa is placed in the centre.

The mantras and procedure has to be learned from a guru or from books.
