pit digging by dogs

Dear all,

Dogs around the house dig hole in the muddy area inside the compound of the house, Is there any centiment good or bad sign -- that dog should not dig a pit in the house.?

ofcourse scientificically, the dog make a pit and sits in the pit to get rid of the hot sun.


Can anybody explain.

Unless it is a stray dog, it will not harm us.

Why can’t we take positively as an unpaid security to guard our house? Whether the dog chases the intruder or not, the intruder will certainly be frightened a little bit.
