pit digging by dogs

Foxes make holes in the land; birds of air build nests: dogs make pits in mud / sand;
All what for? To frighten you? Nay; to lay their head in rest. No bad omen.
Unless it is a stray dog, it will not harm us.

Why can’t we take positively as an unpaid security to guard our house? Whether the dog chases the intruder or not, the intruder will certainly be frightened a little bit.

Lol : Even religiously, we can consider that “Lord Bhairava” have visited our premises. If it is pig instead, we can think that Maha Vishnu (Varahar ) is gracious enough to lay their holy feet in our premises.

Religion is not this.

Religion is: believing that Mahavishnu entered into a wild Boar for a specific purpose. It does not mean that every pig in the gutter is the avatar of Mahavishnu and so deserves an invitation to our home and shodasa upacharam..

If every dog is a Bairava you will die of rabbies when a mad dog enters your bedroom and bites you even as you are doing a namaskaram to it.

LOL.

Why does one not want to see God in entire creation?

Oh yeah. Kalladi theriyathu. Inform me when you are in India next. Let me see how you react when a few stones are thrown at you. LOL.

[h=1]Dig This: How to Get Your Dog to Stop Digging[/h]

  • dog_digging_270x224.jpg

You can have a dog and a nice yard at the same time—sometimes it just takes a little effort. iStockphoto

Has your dog turned your yard into a moonscape, with craters everywhere? If so, the first thing you should know is that your dog isn't doing this out of spite or a desire to destroy your landscaping. More likely he’s seeking:
• entertainment
• prey
• comfort or protection
• escape
• attention
Step one in solving the problem is to diagnose why your dog digs. Then you can follow advice tailored to your (and your dog's) situation.
