I think the mistake was inadvertently made by the IAS officer....He realized his mistake & posted this apology...Social media has a powerful effect!

It's fact its quite common to see males place one foot on a raised object while talking.

Its about concentration.

Look as the pic....by placing one leg on the bed he has to balance himself solely on one foot.

When we stand on one foot...the mind has to concentrate more in a one direction fashion.

Those who do Vrukshaasana(tree pose) of Yoga would understand this..one has to focus on one point to balance on one leg.

Therefore body language on this pic above..suggests the person is in intense concentration and focused.

But as usual we humans seldom take the time to understand body language and jump to conclusions.
