Hello All,

Can anyone please let me know the rules (if any) to be followed while chanting Narasimha 32 letter mantra?

The Mantra is mentioned below for your reference:

ugram veeram maha-vishnum

jvalantam sarvato mukham ।

nrisimham bheeshanam bhadram

mrityumrityum namamyaham ।।

Hi,

This mantra occurs in the Nrusimha Poorva and Uttara Tapaniya Upanishats. The prayoga Vidhi is also detailed in the same, and to post them all here is tedious and perhaps not necessary.

You have to first worship Virat, Hiranyagarbha and Eshwara as indicated in the Upanishad, before moving onto the mantra recital.
