To ensuring women safety, Ministry of Women and Child Development has proposed introduction of a panic button in all mobile phones. Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi on Friday said that the government has asked all mobile phone manufacturers to work out the feasibility of such a feature.

My smart phone has an emergency feature - pressing two keys together for a couple of seconds will send a prerecorded message, rear and front camera pictures, location (GPS) to more than one number in an emergency. Dedicated button will be a big advantage.
