Earlier, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces claimed that the IAF violated the LoC, and that the Pakistan Air Force responded immediately, after which the Indian aircraft went back.
India's airstrikes come days after Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist group, carried out a suicide bombing in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 40 CRPF soldiers.
India vowed to take revenge for the attack, and has already killed its mastermind in an encounter in Pulwama.
It has gone on a diplomatic offensive to isolate Pakistan on the world stage, increased basic customs duty on Pakistan exports, and reiterated plans to stop its share of Indus water from flowing to Pakistan.

The raison d'être of the origin and continued existence of Pakistan is to be anti-india. It is impossible to for India live amicably with this military controlled nation. All that we can do is to live with the risk and mitigate it in various ways.

One thing that this govt has done is it has changed the narrative. Even until a few weeks back, the opposition leaders were perennially doubting the surgical strike claims. But now the very same opposition party leaders are grudgingly acknowledging this bold move by the IAF.

Absurd claims such as the govt itself allowed Pulwama attack etc while still spouted by dynasty chelas have been largely muted.

Yes - this won't completely stop the cross border terrorism but at least the response is not pusillanimous.

Only when RSS men rule the country, were we able to stand up to cross border terrorism and retaliate. And hence, only when RSS men ruled, could we ensure relative peace in our borders.

Found this in Wikipedia.

n the 1980s, Israel was said to had planned, with or without Indian assistance, a possible attack on Pakistan's bomb capacity.[8][9] After destroying an Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981, Israel allegedly planned a similar attack on Pakistan's nuclear facilities at Kahuta in collusion with India in the 1980s. Using satellite pictures and intelligence information, Israel reportedly built a full-scale mock-up of Kahuta facility in the Negev Desert where pilots of F-16 and F-15 squadrons practiced mock attacks.

According to The Asian Age, journalists Adrian Levy and Catherine Scott-Clark stated in their book Deception: Pakistan, the US and the Global Weapons Conspiracy, that the Israeli Air Force was to launch an air attack on Kahuta in the mid-1980s from Jamnagar airfield in Gujarat, India. The book claims that "in March 1984, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi signed off (on) the Israeli-led operation bringing India, Pakistan and Israel to within a hair's breadth of a nuclear conflagration".[10][page needed]

McNair's paper #41 published by USAF Air University (India Thwarts Israeli Destruction of Pakistan's "Islamic Bomb") also confirmed this plan. It said, "Israeli interest in destroying Pakistan's Kahuta reactor to scuttle the 'Islamic bomb' was blocked by India's refusal to grant landing and refuelling rights to Israeli warplanes in 1982." This had been India's policy for all foreign military planes/ships. Israel, on its part wanted this to be a joint Indian-Israeli strike to avoid being solely held responsible.[19]

I thought Omar Abdullah's response significant, different from the rest of the opposition.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said the strike signifies a "totally new ball game" as it was first time that air power was used during peace time to hit terrorist targets in the neighbouring country. "We've entered a whole new paradigm with the Balakote air strike. The post Uri strike was to avenge our losses, Balakote was a 'preemptive strike to prevent an imminent JeM attack'. Totally new ballgame," Abdullah tweeted.

An Indian Air force Wing Commander piloting a MiG-21 fighter jet has not returned, a senior official said on Wednesday amid claim by Pakistan that it had arrested two Indian pilots after shooting down two Indian aircraft in its air space.

Raveesh Kumar, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed that the Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan took off in MiG-21 Bison jet on Wednesday and is yet to return back.

"One Pakistan Air Force fighter aircraft was shot down by Indian Air Force. In this engagement, we have lost one MiG 21. A pilot is missing in action. Pakistan claims he is in their custody. We are ascertaining the facts," he said at a press conference.

Indian government confirms the missing of one of Indian MIG 21 pilot. Pakistan media has named him Wing commander Abhei Nandan (Service no 27981). Hopefully, both the countries will treat war prisoners as per international law.

Funny thing is the dynasty chelas and slaves never asked why their favorite party did nothing even after several gruesome attacks including the 29/11 attacks on the civilians perpetrated by terrorists from pakistani soil. Instead even after the jihadi terrorist from Pakistan got caught red-handed, these people were busy blaming RSS in the most blatant and shameless lie ever told. Now they ask how can the ruling govt take credit? It was the air force that acted. Well.. the same air force was there even before. They were even ready to act. The dynasts didn't care. That is a fact.

These bootlickers kept mum all these years whether it was bofors scam, 2G scam, coal scam, Augusta Westland chopper scam, national herald scam, robert vadra land scam etc etc All these money went into the coffers of the dynasts and these bootlickers have the gall to ask why our air force does not have the latest fighter jets. As if all modernisation of the aircrafts should have happened only in the last 4 years.

Only Bharati's words come to one's mind.

"நெஞ்சு பொறுக்குதில்லையே. இந்த நிலைகெட்ட மாந்தரை நினைத்துவிட்டால்..."

What happened to this is a pakistan issue and not related to Indian muslims? The dravianists routinely claim that they prefer pakistan to aryan India. May be give both kashmir and tn to pakistan. Would that solve all the problems, Chandru Sir?

The dastardly Pulwama attack caused casualties which were well beyond the acceptable threshold. It involved maximum number of security forces being killed by a strike by Pakistan and its terror outfits—the number has been the highest since terrorism began in Kashmir 30 years ago.

India had no choice but to retaliate and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the political leadership were categorical and certain that Pakistan would have to pay a price for Pulwama and retaliation would take place anytime. This was expected and every Indian was waiting for it to happen. Questions were being asked by one and all as to when a strike, in response to Pulwama, would take place.

The temperature in India had been steadily rising. In terms of levels of alertness, from the day the Pulwama attack was carried out, Pakistan was alert and ready. It realized that there would be retaliation in whatever form from India and so they were on high alert from the very beginning.

Will, we ever find out the Truth.

India
India's foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale stated that the IAF had conducted strikes against a Jaish-e-Mohammad training camp, in retaliation for the 2019 Pulwama attack which he said was orchestrated by the group. He claimed that the strikes were motivated by a "lack of Pakistani action on terrorism" combined with "imminent danger" from terrorists. He claimed that the strike resulted in large casualties for Jaish-e-Mohammad, and that the target was chosen to minimize damage to civilians following intelligence reports. Earlier, the spokesperson of the Indian Defense Ministry said that he had no information about Pakistani allegations of airspace violations.

Pakistan (liers).
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, foreign minister of Pakistan, said that Pakistan reserved the right to retaliate.[54] The prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, convened an emergency meeting to review the situation.[55] At the end of this meeting, the National Security Council (NSC) released a statement denying Indian claims of the destruction of any terrorist camp. The statement described the attack as "uncalled for", and added that retaliation would be forthcoming after a joint parliamentary session.
Others
Australia noted its condemnation of Pulwama attack and asked Pakistan to crack down on terrorists operating from its soil. It also asked both India and Pakistan to restrain from actions that would jeopardize peace.[58] China's foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang stated "We hope that both India and Pakistan can exercise restraint and adopt actions that will help stabilize the situation in the region and improve mutual relations".[59] France asked both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, saying that it supported Indian actions against terrorism and asked Pakistan to stop allowing its territory to be used by terrorists.[60] The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation condemned the airstrike and called on both India and Pakistan to show restraint.[61] United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo termed the attack as a "counter-terrorism action" and reaffirmed US-India ties. He asked both sides to show restraint.

"Just a Report" I want to believe.

NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force’s operation against Jaish-e-Mohammad in Balakot of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday was a successful one and had hit four buildings – targeting campus of Madrasa Taleem-ul-Quran, says a report. IAF’s Mirage-2000 fighter jets in operation on early Tuesday morning had hit the Madarsa campus with five S-2000 precision-guided munition (PGM). The daily quotes that intelligence agencies have evidence to show four buildings the images of the destroyed spot in the form of imagery from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).
According to one senior Inetlligence Bureau official, SAR images are not as clear as satellite pictures and it is for the political leadership to decide if it wants to release that imagery. The official also stated that the images are ‘classified information’ and making them public would settle the debate, provided the Union ministry wants. Adding more, the official pointed out that madrasa was selected carefully as it was in the middle of nowhere.

Briefing the details of the Israeli bombs – S-2000, used in the attack – the official said, “It first penetrates through the roof, then enters the building and explodes after a delay. It is meant to hit the command and control centres and does not destroy the building. The software has to be programmed with the type of roof – its thickness, material of construction etc. – and that, accordingly, sets the delay period for the PGM.” Adding more, official explained, S-2000 is a highly accurate, jammer-proof bomb which works precisely even under heavy cloud cover.

Masood Azhar's Brother's guesthouse: Questioning Pakistan’s action about sealing Madarsa after the attack, the official said, “Why did the Pakistan Army seal the madrasa after the strike? Why did it not allow journalists to visit the madrasa? We have evidence in the form of SAR imagery to show that a building used as a guest house, where brother of Maulana Masood Azhar used to stay; an L-shaped building where trainers used to stay; a double-storied building used to house students entering the seminary and another building where those undergoing final combat training used to stay, were hit by the bombs.”

The government official stated that SAR imagery shows roofs of Madarsa had gone missing – made of corrugated galvanised iron (CGI) sheets – on the first day after IAF stuck on it. However, they were repaired after two days by Pakistani armed forces, making it difficult to assess the full damage by technical intelligence.

However, any assessment of terrorists killed in the attack ‘purely speculative’ as there are limitations of technical intelligence and lack of ground intelligence at this point.
It further points out that buildings were on the campus of the madrasa run by Jaish. These buildings were the ones located on the same ridge line as the hilltop – a few hundred metres to the east. Though Pakistan had confirmed that IAF jets struck the area, but have been on a denial mode stating ‘neither there were terror camps or nor was any damage’.

On March 2, the Indian Express reported that “no IAF aircraft crossed the LoC and as per radar data reviewed by the IAF, the closest Pakistani aircraft was at a distance of about 120 km”. It further quoted an anonymous official as stating that the IAF wanted to cross the LoC to bomb the target, “but it was decided that it should only fire the PGM “from [the] Indian side of LoC”.

However, the Times of India‘s defence correspondent – who appears to have received a similar briefing from Indian officials as the Express had as far as the targeting issue is concerned – reported that Indian jets were around 2 km to 10 km across the Line of Control into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir”.

In none of the official statements on February 26 and after have the MEA or the Indian defence forces mentioned that Indian aircraft crossed the LoC. At the same time, India has not sought to deny the Pakistan army spokesperson’s statement that Indian planes were inside Pakistani airspace for four minutes – even though other aspects of his remarks over the last few days have been officially disputed.
