Meet The Future of Entertainment: Indoor Skydiving

Here is your chance to really fly, and it won’t cost you a ton of money to do it (also, you won’t have to worry about plummeting from totally absurd heights).
iFly Singapore allows you to experience true free-fall conditions, just like a real skydiver does. Well, mostly like a real skydiver does. Of course, when you are really skydiving, you aren’t in a big tube.
Participants get two skydives in the wind tunnel. The time that the experience lasts varies, taking the equivalent of falling from 3,600 or 914 meters (12,000 or 3,000 feet). And you can do it for just one-fifth the cost of a tandem jump. Packages for first time fliers are just $100 (or $90 if you go during the off-peak season…who knew indoor skydiving has a season?).
Also, people who frequent the iFly Singapore have gotten really good at controlling themselves in the wind.

iFly Singapore is ultimately the world’s first large themed wind tunnel that is designed for indoor skydiving. Worried about bouncing off the walls? The device spans some 16 feet in width and is 56 feet tall (almost five stories high). Also, when you first go in, you have an instructor with you to help you get the feel of how it all works.
You can see the basics of how it works in the image below. In short, enormous tunnels use oversize fans to cycle air through a chamber. The force of the wind is such that it keeps you afloat.
