Im a iyengar boy wanting to marry a KURUKKAL GIRL (so called sivachariyar). Both of us are from the same GOTHRAM .
IS IT OK ??OR WILL MY NEXT GENERATION BABY GETS AFFTECTED DUE TO THIS SAME GOTHRAM MARRAIGE ??

To be honest and brutal about it, you are not marriage material. In married life, you have to make many major decisions on the spur of the moment. Your indecisive nature will make her life miserable. She will have a better life with a more compatible partner.

I am sorry that has no scientific bearing. I meat a Rajput in Jaipur, a Katri in Jalandhar, and a Reddy in Hydrabad all with the same gothram is mine. I can assure you we can not have any ancestor in common. Wikipedia is not an authority you can quote as reference. 99% of the world does not know their Gothram. Only Brahmain carry this a badge of honor to humiliate others in puja by asking for this. No one knows what is true gotram, we just go with what was told to us. If you are so sure of your facts tell me the gothram of Pandavas. And how would you determine their gothram, would it of...

I still think Gothra has no business in deciding marriage. I don't even mind blood testing or DNA mapping to eliminate inbreeding. That is talking it to the extreme, sufficient to say that if parties are separated by 3 generations, it should be enough.
