Kumbakonam and around Temples - Help and advice needed. Urgent

We were debating to go to Nakshtra temple or Navagraha temple..We have only 2 to 2 1/2 days and could do[COLOR=#009900 !important]only one. We have no reason other than [COLOR=#009900 !important]general[/COLOR] well being. We come to India very rarely and taking this as an opportunity to get some good Karma

[COLOR=#009900 !important]what is the best way to go to below temples efficiently? Any Car company [COLOR=#009900 !important]recommendation[/COLOR] or is it safe to just hire through the [COLOR=#009900 !important]hotel[/COLOR]? Shd we stay 1st night in kumbakonam and second somewhere else?

We used rental car from Gopalan Travels , Kumbakonam

One Mr Sri Ram is very helpful and knowledgeable about all temples in around Kumbakonam, and other plaves like Thirunallar, etc

if you are going from chennai, take overnight train to kumbakonam reaching early morning .

take an auto /car to uppiliappankoil and stay in hotel right opposite the temple. good AC hotel is available there . you can ring and make a booking.

Hotel will arrange a car for you to go all the sites and return you by evening .

you can take a night train same or next night and return

trains from chennai egmore - mannai exp 16179. rameswaram exp 16101 overnight trains - 5-6 hrs or trichy expres 16853 day train 6 hrs

you can take reverse trains of same trains in opposite direction .

these are most convenient as compared to buses
