[h=1]Delhi: Kite Strings Kill Two Children During Independence Day Festivities[/h]Two children were killed in separate incidents after a kite string slit their throats as they stuck their heads out of the sunroof window of their cars.In the first incident, three-year-old Sanchi Goyal stuck her neck in an kite-string overhnging from a wire while her mother was holding her out of the window of their Honda City car. The family was returning home after watching movie.However, the girl was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead. The doctors said the string had cut the girls vocal chords and windpipe causing instant death. Similar incident took place in Delhi’s Tilakk Nagar where a four-year-old died after a kite-string cut through his neck.An officer said the boy was peeping out of the sun roof. “As they crossed the Tilak Nagar flyover, his family spotted the boy bleeding profusely from his neck. Really painful. Two innocent children and another man lost their lives due to the deadly "Manjha" used to fly kites. Plying two wheeler are a risky business in Delhi these days.
 
Dangerous. I think the use of Manjha is already banned. Flying kite is not a good sport for Delhi where open space is a very very rare commodity.
