Dear Friends,
It is beleived that we as Brahmins have to take up Kasi yatra and perform Shrardha and other rituals once in our life time for our Parents.
As heard or informed we start from Rameswaram then to Allahabad,Kasi and Gaya and we complete the yatra by performing the rituals at Rameswaram.
There is a holy place at over night Journey from Gaya towards Howrah. The name of this place is Dev Garh ( House of God ), where you can have Darsan of Atma Lingam. The name of this place is also called Baidyanath Dahm.
You can catch train to Howrah from Gaya and get down at Jasidih. Jasidih to Devgarh you have local mmu's and ofcourse plenty of Rickshaws.
It is about 10 K.M from Jasidih.
This is the place you will find Atma Lingam, Thapovan , where Ravanan was making his thapas to get Atma lingam and Basuki Dahm ,where you will find all God and Godess under one roof ,discussing with Lord Shiva the after effect of handing over Atma lingam to Ravanan and means to stop the same reaching Sri lanka.
This is a worth visiting place.
Just a small note about this temple.
This is a small village , where the crowd visiting for Darsanam every day is 2 to 3 fold more than the number of people those who visit Tirupathi on normal days and during Shiva ratri , Pradhosham and Karthika masam the crowd swells to 3 fold.
Why not give a try when you take up Kasi yatra.
