According to government officials, during their half-hour meeting, they discussed the issue of making Delhi a better place for shooting. “It’s a job intensive industry and we want more shoots to happen in the capital. We are also planning a Film City and a separate body for the industry headed by professionals to make things easier for shoots to happen (here),” Kerjiwal said in a statement. -

There is a film city in NOIDA UP in NCR.

But most filmmakers would like to shoot in in delhi historical monuments and gardens.

We have a legacy left behind by moghuls and the british.

Kamala hasan might also be a catch For AAP which is looking for leaders in Tamil nadu

The news reports that the meeting is to discuss ideas relating to promotion of film industry at Delhi.

As Kamal Hassan being one of the Ambassador of PM’s ‘Clean India’ campaign, chances are bright that he might have thought it fit to have the river Yamuna (which is being polluted with discharge of sewage and toxic waste by the residents and business houses of Delhi) cleaned early so that (1) Delhi residents get good drinking water (It is reported that this river meets Delhi’s 70% drinking water needs) and (2) it will also facilitate to picturize a song sequences along the river Yamuna like ‘சிந்து நதியின் மிசை நிலவினிலே’,etc

Kamal has always been against participation in politics..I guess he would have met Kejiwal to seek some permission for movie shooting

Sir,

You are right.

He was a victim of politics in Tamil Nadu. Few of his movies met with lot of controversies and row.

He was once emotional and was thinking of leaving Tamil Nadu.

And that being the case, where the question of his taking up the leadership of AAP at Tamil Nadu. lol

Kamala haasan can try boating in coovam a concept old dmk govt tried to sell while launching clean coovam campaign in tamilnadu. He might meet with some success.

Cleaning ganga or yamuna are fancy schemes which can only waste tax payers money without positive results.

Delhi water supply is governed by water release by haryana into wazirabad reservoir . Delhis water refining plants are starved of water due to non release by BJP govt

there. Then there is the tanker mafia which still exists inspite of crackdown.

At last people of dwaraka sub city are getting drinking water supply in taps after years.

We hardly suffered in delhi this summer due to power or water thanks to AAP govt.

[h=1]Yamuna clean-up committee plans to pump river water straight into Delhi households[/h]Committee says Yamuna river will remain a 'sewer' unless action is taken
·
It will take time for the river to revive, but Green Tribunal supports plan
·
Since the mid-1990s, Rs 1,500 crore has been spent to clean up the dying Yamuna, but it all has gone down the drain.
·
Now the water you drink is expected to give a new lease of life to the once fabled river.
·
For the first time in history, Delhi may get its share of Yamuna water, treated and supplied to households, from the river itself.
·
The Capital has so far been getting water diverted from the river to Western Yamuna Canal (WYC) in Haryana.
·
This meets Delhi’s 70 per cent drinking water needs.

This yamuna clean up will meet the fate of coovum cleaning project.

We will get water from WYC at wazirabad barrage if haryana cooperates to run its treatment plants.

With BJP govt there it is not in near future.

Chennai City's drinking water sources are 1) Red Hills, 2) Chembarabakam, 3) Poondi, 4) Cholavaram reservoirs and the two desalination plants at Minjur and Nemmeli. And we don’t depend on Coovum unlike Delhi depending on Western Yamuna Canal (WYC).
