rural housing beside many migrating to cities for employment . MNREGA was a boon for them.
But for those graduating from colleges including engineers in large scale have no avenues due to down turn IT and related sectors.Govt employment is very few.
The only response from the Modi govt is promoting self employment thru start ups which has become only a rhetoric than any big result.
There is absolutely no scope for those from tier2 and tier3 cities often educated in local language in institutions of low academic standards
All this might fuel a social unrest which no govt state or centre may be comfortable with.
Spending huge amounts on social welfare with subsidies/freebies for food, fuel,utilities like power,water, clothing can only increase fiscal deficits of state or centre
and are not answers to unemployment issue.
Industries are refusing to avail bank credits and hoping for change in business climate. NPA hunt is hurting all of them. Industry intake of new educated youth is
down to a trickle.Those already committed are waiting for joining dates.
For the unemployed , these are bad times
