My friend made a trip in the Tejas Train last week and this is what he had to say
Pros
1) It is like Shatabdhi with more sort of modern comforts and fittings
2) Food is same like Shatabdi nothing special
3) He had to get down in Trichy and so it is good for people going to Trichy and Madurai

Cons

1) Toilets did not have proper water and that was the biggest turn off ( whether it is one of issue or a recurring one has to be seen )
2.Rates he finds quite expensive compared to Shatabdi but considering the fact this is to attract people from flying in flights to Maduari or going by Car seems to be OK
3.Does not stop at Tambaram so people bit far off have to come to Egmore . Factor the extra CAB or Auto Charges for the same . Had it stopped in Tambaram it would have been easy for people to catch flights at Meenambakkam Airport .

Overall ( his assessment )

Nothing extra ordinary considering it is high priced and if the Toilets are handled well it would be good and ideal for people travelling to Trichy and Madurau avoiding driving by Cars or flying by flights .
I am excited to try it soon and hope the Toilet issue is also handled well
