IPL Spot-fixing: SC asks to disqualify CSK

BCCI and ICC Chairman N Srinivasan find their backs to the wall afer the Supreme Court on Thursday observed that amid the conflict of interest mentioned in the Justice Mukul Mudgal report, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) must be disqualified and the ownsership details of CSK and India Cements be presented in the court.


The SC made it clear to the BCCI on Thursday that it won't let anyone push anything under the carpet and made some stong observations, which include asking the BCCI to act on the findings of the Mudgal report and telling the four non-players mentioned to step aside while the board holds fresh elections.

What's the composition of the company India Cements? Who are on the Board of Directors of Indian Cements Ltd.? What is the equity held by Srinivasan and his family? Who took the decision to invest Rs. 400 crore in Chennai Super Kings? The SC wants to the know the answer to each of those questions and made clear that the issue of Srinivasan's conflict of interest is at the heart of IPL controversy.
