Indian-born economist Abhijit Banerjee, his French-American wife Esther Duflo and the US' Michael Kremer on Monday were awarded the Nobel Prize for Economic Sciences "for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty."

"The research conducted by the 2019 Economic Sciences laureates has considerably improved our ability to fight global poverty. In just two decades, their new experiment-based approach has transformed development economics, which is now a flourishing field of research," a statement from the Nobel Prize Twitter handle said.

The three economists have introduced a new approach to obtaining reliable answers about the best ways to fight global poverty.

These economists may win nobel prize for economics and suggest solutions for fighting poverty in india.

I know indian economic scene is too complex for these to comprehend and suggest a winning prescription.

In 2008, UPA threw a lot of money in rural sector thru MNREGA and building rural roads employing the locals.

This increased the salaries of rural unskilled labour employed by others

SHG for women, midday meals for children created the atmosphere for better living in rural areas.

Unemployment doles for engineers who were jobless put some money into their hands.

Though growth took a beating and fiscal deficit increased, the overall effect was good for all.

But what is the use for our country and out poor ? Big nothing, as our super great govt will do nothing , absolutely nothing with these Nobel prize winners theories.

Seriously what is the use if our govt does not want to study this, forget implementing it ??

Economists have no answers on how to fix the indian economy.

Their prescriptions can only add to more misery.

Country runs inspite of all politicians.

Govt has no control either over growth or recession.

Monetory policies and desire by govt to control everyone and everything mostly create more difficulties for all.

Most find a way to circumvent the rules and do well..

India has never grown less than 4% .

Most have started ignoring the card online economy and shifted to cash and carry to get away from govt

control.

It is 2019,more than a decade after the disastrous 2008.

Times have changed.

Life is more complex.

Indian economics has rules of its own.

Most of us are not exactly starving.

Only as a nation we have started hiding and storing more for a rainy day due to repeated warnings of

recession.

Festive season sales could be an exception to the down turn.

let us see what happens in november.

It will decide if the downturn is here to stay and whether it will prolong.

Whenever an indian wins a honour like nobel prize, immediately his private life is pried open for scrutiny..

Unsavoury details are found out and publicized.

This is a typical indian mindset.

We cannot accept achievers of high calibre.

They have to end up abroad for recognition.

Talents fly of to countries which nurture it

In india these professionals will rot and decay over time.
