Dozens land up for participating and hoping to be the next indian idol.

Some have had years of training experience .

Every weekend ,it is a treat for those watching. on sony channel

Most have aspirations of making it big in hindi film industry.

Couple of hindi film music directors judge the participants.

They give a break to the best ones in the films they compose music.

Now it is in screening stage at state capitals.

Many are from modest backgrounds .

They find time to pursue their singing passion encouraged by their families .

I have been watching Indian Idol on Sony Channel for more than a decade.
It is a show which displays amazing talent. The sad part is that there is no one from Tamil Nadu except for the odd Nityashree once in 10 years which isn't really much. The hatred against Hindi promoted by politicians contributes to the absence of Tamil singers in this show though Tamil Nadu has amazing singers.
Indian Idol is now in its Eleventh Season and so far four episodes of the audition round has been conducted.
