If ‘Jai Shree Ram’ is a murder cry, dear BBC, what would you call ‘Allah Hu Akbar’

A typical case of media allaying the most toxic elements and spreading fake news, biased articles to promote hate against Hindus.

If ‘Jai Shree Ram’ is a murder cry, dear BBC, what would you call ‘Allah Hu Akbar’

The problem isn't that the mainstream media is allying with Muslims, the problem is they are allying with the most toxic elements of Islamic society.

The Western Establishment, which BBC is a part of, loves Islam. They make very little effort to pretend otherwise. The ordinary citizen and the wayward politician might disagree but the establishment has an unholy fascination with Islam. When I say Western Establishment, I am, of course, referring to the alliance between the Global Tech Companies, multinational corporations, liberal politicians and the mainstream media.

The manner in which the mainstream media works overtime to shield Islam and Muslims from any criticism whatsoever is a dead giveaway. Consider, for example, Western media’s treatment of Hinduism in comparison with its coverage of Islamic terrorism. The BBC recently published an article where it called ‘Jai Shri Ram’ a murder cry.

……………………..

……………………..

Ever since Narendra Modi came to power, the BBC has been involved in a series of hit jobs against the government. Not too long ago, the BBC published research on Fake News that claimed Nationalism was the driving force behind the phenomenon. Ironically, the research itself was classic evidence of Fake News.

That the BBC calls ‘Jai Shri Ram’ a murder cry is not unexpected from an organization that is an ally of Radical Islam. It is only expected that such people would develop a rash on their skin when they hear chants praising Rama. If only they cared more about the little girls in their own country than what happens in India, perhaps those children wouldn’t have to suffer hell on Earth itself.

The BBC research on ‘fake news’ is shoddy, unethical, dishonest, and actually an example of fake news

The ridiculous sample size should be the first indicator that the BBC research is bogus. Everything else, from their selection bias, to terming others 'fake news purveyors' based on the inputs of fake news purveyors themselves, points to the fact that BBC had already made up its mind as to what the conclusion of the report must read.

Ok get it..being civil starts off with a threat.

Its not about Jai Shree Ram or Allahu Akbar or Har Har Mahadev.

Hey! How come no one shouts Ya Isa(Jesus) before fighting??

Recently in a Sanskrit page I follow someone wrote a post insulting Abrahamic religions and ended his post with Jai Shree Ram.

Many were supporting his post and just a few were not happy.
I told him that he is entitled to his personal view but he has NO right to end his post with Jai Shree Ram.

I asked him "is your opinion supported anywhere in any Hindu text that you actually can end your post with Lord Rama"

He argued back..then I told him that its people like him that give God and religion a bad name.

Finally he removed the word Jai Shree Ram from his post.

See..its simple he can write anything he wants...I don't really care cos bigots can't change but he shouldn't drag in God's name.

Jai Shree Ram means Hail Lord Rama
Allahu Akbar means God is Greater

Both are not war cries.

Renuji,

These Hindutva hooligans are operating as if they represent Hindus, but generally, they are ignorant of basic Hindu Values.
The beautiful phrase Jai Shree Ram has been hijacked, and now used as a Killing phrase and demeaning phrase for non-Hindus.
The Muslim boy they lynched was forced to Utter these words before they killed him. If a Muslim, unfortunately, is encountered by this thugs they force him/her to chant "Jai Shree Ram". If these unfortunate victims object they are beaten up and even killed.

A person sitting in Malaysia or Chennai is not going to know the ground reality.

Similarly, the Muslim terrorist shouts "Allahu Akbar", before his killing spree.

Renuji,
There are some Hindutva mouthpieces operating here. They are not to be engaged.

Dear Prasad ji,

That's what my post meant...both verses are not war cries.
Both are used in the spiritual sense but its humans that make it a war cry for adharmic acts.

Its better if one is a hard core criminal who doesnt drag God in his criminal act then be a mob or terrorists who is criminal who drags in God's name.

When religious slogan can provoke a person or a mob to engage in heinous acts of killing other humans,It is

far better to be an atheist.

They do not kill using the name of some God.

We have become a very intolerant country.

We have no escape route from these God chanting maniacs indulging in hooliganism.

Deviating from the original post.
These modern-day murderers are similar to Thugs in ancient days in the Indian subcontinent.

Thug view

Although Thugs trace their origin to the battle of Kali against Raktabija, their foundation myth departs from Brahminical versions of the Puranas. Thugs considered themselves children of Kali (a Hindu goddess), created from her sweat. However, many of the Thugs who were captured and convicted by the British were Muslims,] perhaps up to a third.

According to colonial sources, Thugs believed they had a positive role in saving human lives. Without the Thugs' sacred service, Kali might destroy all mankind:
  • "It is God who kills, but Bhowanee has [a] name for it."
  • "God is all in all, for good and evil."
  • "God has appointed blood for [Bhowanee's] food, saying 'khoon tum khao': feed thou upon blood. In my opinion it is very bad, but what can she do, being ordered to subsist upon blood!"
  • "Bhowanee is happy and more so in proportion to the blood that is shed."
The Muslim thugs while retaining their monotheistic faith, had functionalised Bhavani for Thuggee and she was syncretised as a spirit subordinate to Allah. A Muslim thug caught by Sleeman stated "In my heart, I take the name of God, when I strangle a man – saying "thou God and ruler!" "Alla, toomee Malik!" I do not pray to Bhowanee, but I worship her." Other Muslim thugs who had agreed to testify for Sleeman, stated they had assimilated Bhavani with Islamic prophet Muhammad's daughter Fatimah who killed Raktabija and started the practice of Thuggee.

According to historian Mike Dash, the Thugs had no religious motive to kill. When religious elements were present among Thugs their beliefs, in principle, were little different from many others on the Indian subcontinent who attributed their success or failure to supernatural powers: "Indeed all of the Thugs's legends concerning the goddess [Kali] featured exactly the cautionary notes typical of folklore."

Here is an article by Retired SC Judge on how the Medias take advantage and distort stories, twist facts

Media and issues of responsibility

The Indian media display certain defects. These should ideally be addressed and corrected in a democratic manner. But if the media prove incorrigible, harsh measures may be called for.

The time has come when some introspection by the Indian media is required. Many people, not only those in authority but even ordinary people, have started saying that the media have become irresponsible and wayward, and need to be reined in.

Only a couple of days back I read in the newspapers that the Union government has issued some regulations regarding licences for news channels, to which there was a lot of reaction. Under the Constitution of India, freedom of the media is part of the freedom of speech guaranteed by Article 19 (1) (a). However, no freedom can be absolute, and reasonable restrictions can be placed on it. One of the basic tasks of the media is to provide truthful and objective information to the people that will enable them to form rational opinions, which is a sine qua non in a democracy. But are the Indian media performing this role properly?

I may only mention certain defects in the functioning of the India media today.

Read more at: https://www.thehindu.com/opinion/lead/Media-and-issues-of-responsibility/article13059658.ece

It is all about how facts being twisted by the medias to spread hatred against a particular religion.

I can cite number of cases where the hooligans attacked Hindus, abused Hindus, harassed Hindus.

By the way, why is Didi so upset when some one chants of Jai Shri Ram and why does she call it galagali (abuse)? And why she arrested so many youths..?

It is high time, some one remind Didi the phrase ‘What goes around comes around’.

In many parts of India, Hindus often invoke the popular god Ram’s name as a greeting. But in recent years, Hindu lynch mobs have turned Ram’s name into a murder cry, writes the BBC’s Geeta Pandey in Delhi.
Last month, a video that went viral on social media showed a terrified Muslim man tied to a pole being assaulted by a lynch mob made up of Hindu men in the eastern state of Jharkhand.

In the video, 24-year old Tabrez Ansari is seen pleading for his life, blood and tears streaming down his face.
His attackers force him to repeatedly chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’, which translates from Hindi to ‘hail Lord Ram’ or ‘victory to Lord Ram’.

Ansari does as told, and when the mob is finished with him, he is handed over to the police.
The police lock him up and his family is not allowed to see him. He dies four days later from injuries sustained during the attack.

Ansari is not the only one to have been singled out in this manner. June was a particularly bloody month for Indian Muslims, who were targeted in several such attacks.

Every sane human being must condemn this act. Hindus, in particular, must condemn such acts.
It is a shame that PM Modi has been a tacit supporter of these hooligans. He must condemn such acts and the police and the other criminals involved must be prosecuted. Alas, it is a minority voice.

Modi’s first term in power was marked by violence against minorities. There were numerous incidents of Muslims being attacked by so-called ‘cow vigilantes’ over rumours that they had eaten beef, or that they were trying to smuggle cows — an animal many Hindus consider holy - for slaughter.

But right after the BJP’s stunning victory in May, Modi expanded his earlier slogan of ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’ (development for all) to include ‘sabka vishwas’ (to win the trust of everyone), giving rise to hopes that this term would be different.

Several dozen people have been killed and hundreds injured since 2014 in mob attacks, but there have been convictions in only a handful of cases.

In others, the accused remain free, often due to a lack of evidence, and some have been seen being feted by Mr Modi’s party’s colleagues.

BJP leaders often downplay such incidents, calling them ‘minor’ and accusing the press of ‘maligning the image of the government’.

One BJP MP recently told a news website that the popularity of the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’ was a sort of protest by Hindus ‘against a certain bias and tilt of the polity towards minorities’.
‘They are also asserting that we are Hindus and we count as Hindus,’ he said.

Foreign press is the only one to publicize such heinous acts, Indian press is suppressed and journalist are in constant danger. Look at Gauri Lankesh's case.

So instead of criticizing the foreign press, we must applaud them for honest reporting.

Helps to explain the rise of the pro-Muslim Congress Party, the creation of Pakistan and the attempt to make Hyderabad its Capital. The British and their lapdogs...or more to the point...their shoeshine boys.

All wise should condemn such news channels especially foreign channels for publishing biased article perhaps with malafide intention. This amounts to slow poisoning the minds of readers.

These channels instead of practicing such... ...methods, they can try to adopt fairness and accuracy in reporting.

They should try to live upto the standard... in their vigorous competition, they should not publish untested theories, lies and slant news.

Why not they try to be neutral and independent...?

And why are they trying to brain wash common man…?

They simply twist the facts to their advantage and present them in such a way to provoke even a layman.

Should BBC be a Biased Broadcasting Corporation when reporting on India?

In its daily roundup on the election scene in the world’s most populous democracy called India, the 97-year-old British Broadcasting Corporation has shown not just its age but its bias. Just click online on the anonymous BBC.com article, headlined “The Congress and RJD announce alliance” and carried on the evening of March 22, 2019. Here is a sample of the reportage, if it can be called that:

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a Twitter offensive against opposition leaders and those associated with their parties, accusing them of “insulting” the armed forces. He appears to have picked up several videos and some speeches made by various leaders, including Sam Pitroda, who is very close to the Congress Party. Mr Pitroda, who is credited with being the father of the Indian telecom revolution, had objected to “vilifying all Pakistanis” over the Kashmir suicide attempt that saw a fresh heightening of tensions between India and Pakistan.”

Perhaps the BBC was reporting all this for a non-Indian readership. Any one in India who switched on the TV and tuned in to any Indian news-channel on the morning of Friday, March 22, would have realized the ludicrousness of the BBC comment that “Mr Modi appears to have picked up several videos and some speeches made by various leaders, including Sam Pitroda”.

……………………………………

The BBC article not only shows up sections of the Indian polity but also reflects poorly on the BBC itself which was set up in London in the heart of the British Empire in 1922, some two decades before the imperialist-made Bengal famine in which millions of people died of starvation during World War Two even while hundreds of their freedom-fighter compatriots participating in the Quit India Movement were ruthlessly machine-gunned from the air. All of which is detailed not (repeat not) in contemporary BBC reports but in the book “Calcutta Under Fire”, penned by the British sociologist David Lockwood.

Government should identify such false reporting, fact twisting and lies spreading medias and ban them through a regulation.

Exclusive: Another ‘hate crime’ turns out to be fake, Bhaghpat SP says Imam was not made to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’

Interestingly, the media has reported that 12 people have already been booked in this case. This claim was also contested by the SP. He said that they have their suspicion on 2-3 individuals but the process of investigation is still on-going and nobody has been booked yet.

Repeating a PTI syndicate feed, several media houses reported today that one Imam (Muslim cleric) called Imlaq-Ur-Rehman was assaulted by men and was made to chant Jai Shree Ram. The report also mentions that his beard was pulled by the assailants and that the police has booked 12 people in connection with this case. This has turned out to be another case of fake ‘hate crime’ that is being propagated by the media.

OpIndia reached out to Superintendent of Police of Baghpat police station who has categorically rubbished the claims and asserted that Imam Imlaq-Ur-Rehman was not made to chant Jai Shree Ram, his beard was not pulled and there was no religious undertone to this assault. He asserted that this was a case of a petty brawl between some men and the Imam.

SP Shalesh Kumar Pandey said that the Imam and the assailants are from Muzaffarnagar. After the fight, the Imam, along with several of his supporters reached the Muzaffarnagar police station to file a complaint. While in the police station, the Imam narrated the incident of the assault and at that time, there was no mention of the allegation that he was made to chant Jai Shree Ram or that his beard was pulled by the assailants.

I do not like that idea. I do not even support a prayer room at taxpayers expense. Pray in your house before coming to the airport.

I would grudgingly allow a non-denomial prayer area.

I posted this on another thread, but it is relevant here too.

“There is only one thing that I have to say,” said Varun Bahar, a Bhojpuri and Hindi singer, whose recent song, Jo Na Bole Jai Shri Ram, Bhej Do Usko Kabristan, has people baying for his arrest.

“I’m a bhakt of Jai Shri Ram,” he said. “This is all about Hindutva. It is only about Hindutva.”
In a phone conversation with HuffPost India on Thursday, 35-year-old Bahar said that he had written the controversial song, which sounds like an open call for violence.

It goes like this: “Jo na bole Jai Shri Ram, bhej do usko kabristan. Jitne bhi hain ab Ram virodhi, unko ab dafnayenge. Poore Hindustan ke andar Ram Rajya phir layenge. (Those who do not say Jai Shri Ram,send them to Kabristan. Let’s bury those who oppose Ram. We will get Ram Rajya in Hindustan again).
Kabristan, in common parlance, is used to refer to a graveyard used by Muslims and Christians.
An image of a graveyard with crosses appears in the video.

Bahar, who is presently in Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, said, “Sometimes it takes me ten minutes to write a song, sometimes a day, but it depends on the song. This one took me two days. I’m from a Hindu family. I’m a devotee of Shri Ram. I will not stop singing.”

Bahar’s songs are among the burgeoning soundtrack of hate which, like many other aspects of communal hatred in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-run India, has become commonplace.

For a while now, there have been reports of songs with chilling lyrics targeting Muslims being played on the streets during the celebration of religious festivals. There is little that the police can do to stop it.

‘This Is All About Hindutva,’ Says Singer Of Jo Na Bole Jai Shri Ram
This “Ram bhakt” also makes misogynistic and raunchy music videos.

Twenty-four-year-old Shams Tabrez Ansari was on June 18 caught by an angry mob on the suspicion of stealing a motorcycle. What ensued was a mirror-image of something India has witnessed before; more so in the past five years.

Ansari—bruised, his lips bloodied— was tied to a poll and brutally thrashed for hours. Surrounded by a mob, baying for his blood, he was dragooned into chanting “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman.” But neither of the two was going to come to his rescue on that fateful day. Four days later, Ansari succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Saraikela Kharsawan, Jharkhand.

Ansari’s killing was not a one-off incident. There have been umpteen such incidents now to just gloss over and wait for the situation to improve, on its own. The obsession of right-wing miscreants to get a Muslim to chant “Jai Sri Ram” has now peaked in India.

Earlier this week in West Bengal, three Muslim men were pushed off a moving train by a group of people who wanted them to say the same three words. One of the victims said he wanted to utter “Jai Shri Ram” to save himself, but they wouldn’t let him. These men carry a clear motive, that of assault, no matter what.

However, one would be grossly mistaken to consider this brutality as a first in the name of God. Violence has reared its ugly head before, and the perpetrators uttered “Allahu Akbar” before embarking on their way to an “imaginary paradise” through the destruction of humanity.

Those two words, meaning “God is great”, with time, became dreadful and epitomised just one thing: “violence.” It’s not that the Muslim community didn’t distance itself from these attacks or condoned them. It’s just that it took them a while to register that their call to “greatness of God” had been hijacked by a tiny minority from among themselves. And before they could find a way to prove their “innocence”, media and films had already started profiling them, calling them names and questioning their allegiance to their respective nations.

"Hail Lord Rama" is what “Jai Shri Ram” means. The “Jai Shri Ram” call may yet not have killed as many as those who fell prey to “Allahu Akbar,” but that time doesn’t seem to be too far.

If not resisted today, that time is not far when the world will seek answers of the entire Hindu community. The same media, particularly TV, that warn you against an unfounded enemy which, according to them, is coming for you, will wash their hands off the matter for their own sustenance.

Holy scriptures will be called into question, contentious verses will be cherry-picked to target an entire community and its commitment to human values. The men and women will be caricatured and stereotyped beyond limits.

It has happened once, and maybe, we were ignorant then but not anymore. We can see it happening again, and yet we choose to keep quiet because it doesn’t affect us directly. Your socio-political and, for some, financial capital, won’t guard you for long. Don’t forget a vast majority of those killed by Islamist extremism have been Muslims.

So, they may not be coming for you today but their actions will have a long-lasting effect on all of us. It’s not a battle to prove a “God’s greatness” over another. It’s about protecting one from what another has come to symbolise.
