I had read about medicinal benefits of plants like aswagandha, triphala, brahmi and does any of this works in stabilizing mood, reducing stress also

I am concerned about my health for sometime, I seem so sleepy and tired all the time. There is not much stress tahts happening in life so one person suggested me to try indian ginseng which i know is ashwagandha. does it work ,if it is are there any trusted providers so that i dont end up getting stomach issues .
As a doctor, my advice to you is to get a screening blood test done.

I dont know your age, so I can just give you general advice.
Sleepy and tiredness can also be subclinical hypothyroidism.
You will see that your T3 and T4 hormones are normal but your TSH will be slightly higher than normal..this indicates that your body is having subclinical hypothyroidism.

Test your serum ferritin, folate and Vit B12 levels in your blood.

Years of being vegetarian at times takes a toll on body iron and vitamin B 12 stores...this can cause fatigue and depression too..it also affects moods and can make one irritable and intolerant.

Coming to Ashwagandha..best is not to take it without consulting an Ayurvedic physician.

Ashwagandha can have side effects and affect the thyroid gland.
It can cause over stimulation of the thyroid gland.
So its hard to say if you can take it or not until and unless you do a blood test to see your T3, T4,TSH.

With regards to Ayurveda,..an ayurvedic physician would need to determine your doshas etc...this is not my field, so I cant advice you too much on this.

Mental agitation also makes one tired..so try to exercise and do some Yoga if possible.
Spend time outdoors..try walking barefoot in a garden which aids grounding free radicals in the body and improve moods and energy levels...walking on a beach and letting sea water touch your feet also helps in grounding.

Last but not least is, remove clutter from your room and home.
Discard/ donate things you do not use.
Create space..when we create physical space in our home, we reduce thoughts per second in our mind..that means we become less agitated and have a more balanced outlook.

Regards
