Going to Tirupati

. What is the best way to go from Chennai to Tirupati for two seniors to do darshan? Thanks.
We are Senior Citizens from Chennai and we used the Public Transport like Train and bus.We usually go and have darshan of Thayaar before going to Tirumalai. We took the 16057 Saptagiri Express from Chennai Central and got down at Renigunta on 21st November at 8.55 A.M. The usual A.P.S.R.T.C. buses plying from Renigunta(Service Road near Renigunta Railway Station) to Tirumalai were not there. We usually take these buses upto Ramanujar Circle -Bliss Hotel stopping and from there take buses, share auto to Sri Alamelu Mangapuram. We save almost an hour and half as we do not go upto Tirupati station and take a bus to Sri Alamelu Mangapuram.
But on 21st, the Auto drivers informed me that due to the repair of bridges, fly-overs etc, buses are not there and they are willing to drop us at Sri Alamelu Mangapuram for Rs.250. But we did not listen to them, and took a bus from the near by Bus stand, and instead of plying in the normal route, it took a different route not touching Sri Ramanujar Circle stopping, and dropped us at Tirupati Bus Stand. Fortunately there were A.P.S.R.T.C buses to Sri Alamelu Mangapuram and we took the bus and it again went through a different route and we reached Sri Alamelu Mangapuram almost around 11.00 A.M. The security at the temple asked us to hurry up to join the queue for darshan of Thayaar as they close for darshan at 11.00 A.M and then open again for darshan at 12.30 P.M. Fortunately, we could have darshan of Thayaar. So this time for going to Tirupati Bus stand from Sri Alamelu Mangapuram, we took an auto and it went through the normal route and dropped us at Tirupati Bus Stand. So my suggestion to pilgrims who get down at Renigunta for going to Sri Alamelu Mangapuram, please take an Auto from Renigunta Railway Station. I am told by the local people that it will take more time to repair the bridges / fly-overs.
