First night tales: Do couples in arranged marriages get intimate right away?

The answer to the question in the OP is 'it all depends'
It depends on the outlook towards physical intimacy of the couple involved and prior lack of experience by either or both involved.

I think if conditions are right in an arranged marriage where there is some attraction as a basis for selection, neither is afraid of being physically close to a 'stranger', nature takes over and physical intimacy is the result. Emotional intimacy naturally follows over time because the experience is new for both parties and they both tend to view the experience as something special.

I have this unverifiable feeling that many Indian women are rarely ever satisfied in a physical sense and put up with whatever they get. The inexperienced fellow with first ever experience on the 'first night' may never have been properly taught, never tried to learn, and remain clueless. Women are too afraid to take responsibility for their needs and remains clueless. I hope I am wrong.

tamil nadu....the awareness required....there are two words in tamil....generally these more private issues.....

book stalls...i visited sometimes with him some years back...when we were bachelors.....

I am in fact totally surprised to read this that too coming from you who I feel has one of the most analytical minds here in Forum but yet remain clueless about the physics and mechanics of a female.

Well...that is a wonder of nature that males rarely can decipher a female...Sravna included..spiritual power and all.

The sexual instinct is built- in for a human...we can NEVER EVER forget that the Garbha is with the female...the one who sustains and nurtures..the Preserver...the one who brings forth life...the creative force is very strong in a woman.

A woman is never clueless...if Nature intended a female to be clueless that would spell disaster to the entire world.

Men esp the Indian male prefer to think a female is clueless cos that would translate to virginity..its a prized possession for a male actually.

A female knows her body well...her needs..her desire...well she plays along..acting coy to boost the ego of the male..for she desires him as her protector/provider.

She will never unleash her dominatrix side so soon...the 1st night is not a launch for a movie...she does not require a box office hit and unleash her Brahmastra on the 1st night itself.

She has life long to play her game and enjoy it.

Guys...the balls(pun intended) are always in her court.

Remember...a satisfied female is a creative force...a dissatisfied female is a destructive force.

In Islam it is said that the desire of a female is nine times higher than a male.

Well...In our Puranas we do have a story of sage Kardama taking 9 forms to sexually satisfy his wife Devahuti.

Until the classic work of Masters and Johnson got published humanity was clueless about many aspects of human sexuality.
Many American women are clueless couple of decades ago. I have lived almost all my adult life in USA and I only have anecdotal knowledge from close friends - men and women who are Americans by birth.

In fact some decades ago when I was student in USA, I chose to live in Coed hostels. Therefore I got to know many girls very well (dont plan to talk about details of my Poorvashrama here :)). The minimum I can say that it was my immature 'bragging right' to be surrounded by many girls especially to other Desi students. There were very few Indians in campuses those days. Depending as to how this thread goes I may venture to share one small anecdote (one that was still etched in my mind)

There was a course under Women's studies that men could not enroll. One of the first thing the class taught was female anatomy with all women being handed a mirror. That was the first lab with report to be written soon after :) The basis for that course is that most women are clueless about their bodies.

Many women even in highly sexed up western civilizations have never experienced 'high-points' in their life. Most men in western culture are also clueless and also tend to be selfish by and large (though that may be changing).

Having a child and being emotionally connected Highs via physical means are two different things. Only one Mr Yamaka (a former member who is not active anymore) bragged about his physical relation here in this forum :)

If one were to share the details of all that is known today, many Mamas and Mamis will be shocked.

In India the topic used to be taboo and never discussed. Many women do not know what they have missed and hence do not lament. But that is changing fast. I was just extrapolating that so called marital bliss may just end with an emotional level connection for most in large part of India. I can be proved wrong with facts.

In any case the reason I mentioned all this is because in today's age of information, it is good if couple getting married are well educated in the physical aspects without necessarily needing to have experimented. The reason is that in properly set up arranged marriages the physical intimacy leads the way to emotional intimacies. In the process, release of hormones such as Oxytocin helps to create binding attraction and feelings of love. That is essential in a marriage

Well...pleasure comes in many forms...exploring sensuality and sexuality is pleasurable..its gives a sense of being in control..being aware.

But yet in the mind one knows this is transient..whatever goes up will have to come down.

Past history and escapades in my opinion is not immoral its just a matter of personal choice and in fact can proof beneficial cos it shapes what we are today.

Its after all not a crime to be attracted to someone...the initial high of Dopamine release of a new relationship before it becomes sexual is the best phase that has to be experienced.

The later phase where Oxytocin takes over...might not be all that exciting.Oxytocin is the bonding hormone..it does not excite us..it give a feeling of stability.

Its interesting to note that we are still dependent on neuroendocrinology for all our actions..somethings Sravna's AI will never get to experience!LOL

BTW I feel it was Western society that were originally prudish and frigid becos of influence of Abrahamic religions that sees everything as sin and have the heaven and hell concept.

We Hindus were never subjected to such thinking for the body is a temple...the form can even be adored in Tantra.

Sensuality and sexuality were seen as divine union of the Linga and Yoni..the act itself was a Yagna.

I dont think we ever needed classic work of Masters and Johnson to understand human sexuality.
