A FIR was lodged against RJD chief Lalu Prasad for his caste remark during his election campaign by the election commission, Additional Chief Electoral Officer R Lakshaman said.

"An FIR was lodged against Lalu in Raghopur in Vaishali district on charge of violation of model code of conduct by making a caste remark during an election campaign," he said.


Lalu Prasad said that the Bihar assembly polls is a fight between 'the backward versus forward' forces. Lalu, in his first election rally in Raghopur, urged the Dalits and the backward classes to unite to defeat the BJP, which he claimed is keen to end reservation.

I also think so. Bihar election is all about castes and nothing else. Even in Police barracks caste segregation is practised very meticulously and untouchability is scrupulously followed among Bihar Police. Lalu Prasad will get good advantage.

Lalu has got support of his caste only..Also his support is being broken by Mulayam and Pappu Yadav who are not allied with him...Also BJP has fielded this time many Yadav's to break his backbone...Another fact is that BJP has declared today that in case BJP wins, then CM will be from Backward caste only! Bihar election is fought on these planks! Overall BJP is ahead at this stage!!
