The legal fraternity needs to stand up for those in need and not keep silent when an evil is seen, Supreme Court Chief Justice H.L. Dattu said here on Saturday.

“In today’s world, a lawyer is not merely confined to wearing black robes of an advocate in the court. You wear an additional robe — that of a social reformer. The challenges in society are multidimensional and one must strive to overcome them in a timely and suitable manner,” said Justice Dattu.
“In keeping silent about evil, we bury it deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface. When we neither punish nor reproach evil-doers, we are not simply protecting them, we are ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations,” he said.

Law College students who are the future lawyers are the one who don’t follow the laws.

Let them inculcate lawful behavior to them while they are under training before motivating them to rise up to fight against social evils.

The Madras High Court censured these students for their blocking the traffic and thus caused inconvenience to the general public of Chennai.

The two links are self-explanatory.

We take Gods as our role mode You have detailed discussions on thisI in the following thread

In keeping silent about evil, we bury it deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface. Eve Gods wait for a call Never Suo moto action

Kannan justifies ihis inaction

He dsays "நான் வெறும் 'சாட்சி பூதம்’. a passive witness!!

There is one "Traffic" Ramaswamy, even at the Age of 82 (or so), is not a silent on the evil of "Posters not removed even after ordered by the Court".
And he got the treatment of Arrest in early morning.
This is the Reality.
The social responsibilty of people (politicians, executives, professionals, students etc, etc)should improve to reach the stage where people realise the importance of their role to the society.
