Delhi Jal Board deployed workers to spray water on the toxic foam of Yamuna River.

The shocking pictures and videos of devotees standing in waist-deep toxic foam in the Yamuna River are something that manages to make headlines every year. This year was also no different. On Monday, several clips of women taking a dip in the polluted river were doing the rounds on the internet. However, this year, the Delhi Jal board came up with a ‘solution’ to the toxic foam problem.

A video shared on Twitter by news agency ANI shows a worker sprinkling water on the Yamuna to keep the foam away from the shore. And that’s not all. The worker, identified as Ashok Kumar, was specially instructed to do so the whole day.

Check out the video:

Needless to say, netizens were confused with this solution and didn’t waste much time to churn out funny memes about the situation. From terming the solution as something that is beyond science to comparing the situation to hilarious meme templates, the posts are too funny to miss.

Check out some of the best memes:

Because sometimes a river gets thirsty.

Apart from being funny, it is dangerous to touch that water.
Shouldn't the government ban dipping in that water?

They should post signs all along Jamuna River.

Yes,
Meera drank poison (so she thinks), but should we drink this polluted water, or bathe in it?
When does truth trumps blind faith?
