Hello gud morning sirs
Myself wishing only all brahmin members of this website a
happy and prosperous Deepawali to them and their family members.
thanking you, sindhujaa
i wish everyone who were & who are and who will be in this Forum, a very happy deepavali.sindhu,
why only brahmin members?
there are many valuable members here who are not of brahmin heritage, but are hindus nevertheless. should we not wish them too?
and there may folks outside of our faith, who join the celebrations. you will find a lot them in north india - sikhs, jain, buddhists among others. should we not wish them too.
so, if you don't mind, i will modify your greetings to an inclusive greeting such as...,
'sindhu17 & myself, wish all the members of this forum a happy deepavali and best of the season'.
God Bless.

actually Brahmins are such a threatened species that we should first celebrate out identity before we expand our love to all humanity. the reailty is if we can shower love sincerely on our family and friends and show others how wonderful we are, we would be better than most. the problem is many other groups are either exclusive or antithecal to our values and we dissipate our love when it could be better used for the many in our community who need our charity at home. of course if there are non brahmin members of this forum who sincerely are admirers and supporters we might also include them in all sincerity.
one day, when the dualities of this world fall off, we might then embrace all in love.
until then we should at least be careful of those who are against the ideals which the tribe stood for with pride.
imperfect advaita is a dangerous practice.
